Fish and chips 🍟 done the way they are supposed to be perfect, great quality and friendly staff bit of a queue but understandably so, the food speaks itself the only let down, are the miniscule portions of gravy or whatever you need for your takeaway, bummer.

Every time we have got anything from the Golden Chip it has been good. I did read a few of the bad reviews, so not sure what happened there.

I frequented this establishment often when I lived nearby. Great fried food of all kinds. Service is always prompt and pleasant. Chips are exceptional. I had the scampi supper for the first time last week on a whim and I wasn't disappointed. It has won awards for a good reason.

Can't base this review on my last experience here when I got a meat kebab (not entirely sure why I got a kebab in a chippy) the chips were great but the 'meat' was like wood and was uneatable. Having said that, the 'chippy food' in here is great. Fresh fish, nice chicken goujons, chips are fantastic and the place is always busy which is always a good sign. Great chippy but maybe avoid the kebab!
