Moved to this area about a year ago and this wee place is a literal 2min walk from my door.
The staff are very welcoming and always very helpful. The food is great and the prices really surprised me. Extremely good value for money. A chicken ball meal (x8 chicken, a big tub of curry or gravy and a choice of chips, fried rice or noodles was less than £7. Can't beat that with a big stick.
My only reason for not giving it a full 5 stars on the food is a very small gripe about the curry. Everyone's taste is different obviously but I personally find it very sweet.
Other than that, a great wee place and I'd recommend to anybody in the area.

Just tried this place for the first time and we will definitely be returning! Excellent food, very friendly staff and all a great price! Chicken curry is the best we’ve had in a long time! Highly recommend.
Fantastic takeaway. Absolutely delicious garlic special and special chowmein, very quick service, and they also deliver ( just give them a call). Note portion size is significant. Have never managed to finish a portion in one go, whichever order. Highly recommend.

The food is amazing in here. It's one of those places that doesn't look like much from the outside, but my goodness how deceiving that is! I don't live nearby this place, but if I could pick it up and set it down the street from me I would. Friendly and polite staff too, the girl who answers the phone and takes the orders is a pleasure to speak with, can't fault the place.
Huge portions, very cheap and very delicious. Will use as my Chinese from now on in East Belfast.
My go-to local Chinese. Love the Singapore chow mein, the beef in black bean sauce and Peking sauce dishes. Also enjoy the sweet and sour chicken. You get good portions and they're reasonably priced.
My all time favourite Chinese! Curry is out of this world and the salt chilli is Devine. Only downside is it doesn't take card and I've had to order off just eat a few times because I couldn't be bothered going to get cash. Please get card payments set up!
As visitors to East Belfast we've used Happy Garden a couple of times and I'd recommend them without hesitation. Tasty food, huge portions, and reasonable prices... what more do you need? Give them a go.
Best chinese in Belfast, very generous portions (2 meals could easily do 3 people), taste and flavour of the meals never disappoint and friendly staff also. Try it once and you'll become a regular.
Ordered by phone and food was ready when I arrived. I've been regularly visiting Happy Gardens for the past 10 years since I moved to this area, despite 3 other Chinese takeaways within walking distance.
Absolutely love the chicken peking from here and the staff work great under pressure .
