Was having a holiday lunch with friends. I had a great vegan soup, full of flavor. Hot but not burn you hot. Tried the cheddar "biscuits" they are why this place received 4 stars. They were not biscuits. They had a texture of bread, not a biscuit. The restaurant is very clean. Tables are socially distanced with beautiful curtains between. Over all, I was happy to dine here for the first to time in 3 years. I do have to say with the chocolate cake you should have made a orange curd. Orange and Chocolate are a perfect pair. Lemon and chocolate not so much.

Had the avocado toast (minus the eggs as I'm vegan) and chai tea latte. Just wonderful! I took a picture of the avocado toast after I was done with 75% of it - I was too hungry to take a picture of the whole plate when they brought it to the table 😂

Came here for a treat after lunch at the Colophon. Had the sipping chocolate, ginger cookie, chocolate (chip?) cookie, and the cakette. The cakette is lovely. The chocolate (chip?) cookie was very bland, the ginger cookie is overpowering in ginger (and I adore ginger cookies, one of my favorite treats), and the sipping chocolate wasn't even sip-able. My friend with me didn't like it either and she loves Evolve; I ended up having to throw it away. I personally do not recommend the products, but the service is great as is the ambience.

Really nice place! Their iced latte was amazing, same with the cheese biscuits that came with the soup. People were also super nice and patient. Would love to go there again!

Friendly, patrons can stay indefinitely. This is nice when getting together with friends you don't see very often. Food is so so. menu is creative and attractively presented but, in my opinion, not that flavorful.

Went for the first time at new location for a beer pairing dinner inspired by a book. The food was excellent. The space was lovely. The chef is awesome and the staff are friendly and helpful. 100% worth a visit. I would say the menu I was lucky to try isn't a standard offering but certainly indicative of the talent and quality offered here.

This is a wonderful little cafe nestled away on the second floor of Village Books. Entrees revolve around a variety of soups, salads and dishes that lean toward middle-eastern cuisine, but they also prepare some yummy looking sandwiches. Evolve also features a coffee bar, wonderful desserts and pastries and, the name says it all, chocolate! Chocolate, Coffee, Desserts, Pastries, Sandwiches, Wine, Salads, Soups, Wine and Sandwiches -- all prepared fresh, primarily from locally sourced ingredients in a world-class, independent bookstore with a view "to die for!"

Great vegetarian/vegan options. My husband and I loved our meal at Evolve SO much that we went up to the counter specifically to compliment the chef before going back to the book store. Oh and of course we had to buy some pastries too, which were equally excellent. We had a salad, soup, polenta bowl, and lentil hand pie, and all were amazing. So richly flavorful and creative. I wish we had time to visit again during our time in Bellingham. Highly recommended!
