Lovely Sunday lunch was had by all. Nice beer served here too. And what a location for a nice pub. Need to come back for the summer.

We had the most lovely roast dinner here yesterday after walking up the moor - dog friendly, large portion sizes and quick service. We will definitely be back, thank you!

We didn’t get to visit inside, as on the day we visited they have an outside area called ‘The Shed’. Lots of outdoor seating with amazing views. Fantastic food and service. Cold pint of cider after a long walk on the moors was lovely. We hope to visit again and sample the inside pub.

Lovely traditional pub. We were starving and we were fed promptly with lovely meals. Fish and chips that had no egg and milk is ALWAYS a bonus. Some pubs don't like children, this is not one of those places. Perfect. Vegan options available as well. All good fresh and lovely selection of beers. They had Speak Easy which I rate. Would be great to have a non alcoholic beer on tab too in the future

September in the sun. Stopped off at The Shed after walk on the moors to water the dogs and have a few beers. What an excellent outdoor facility. Very friendly bar staff. Didn't eat but food looked great. Good range of ales and ciders. Definitely recommend.

Lovely village pub, in the beautiful village of Belstone. Great place to get a drink after a walk on Dartmoor. We ate outside and it has a limited menu for outside food, was very tasty meal but only burgers, would have quite liked a lighter meal, such as a sandwich.

Great pub with good beer and friendly staff. Awesome burger menu and we loved Oinky Chips! On the negative side they failed to register my Ploughmans Lunch order and when, after prompting, it eventually came it had only 2 puny bits of bread, nowhere near enough to accompany the piles of lovely ham, cheese and salad! Overall good though and I'll definitely come again.

Such a friendly pub. We were heading out for a weekend on the moor and stopped for a quick pre-trip drink. Ended up coming back a day early to enjoy another!

Lovely visit to Belstone. We ate outside, brilliant idea having that little Shack where you're able to buy food and drink. Food was decent! Views were amazing. Staff were lovely. Worth a trip.

Helpful with directions for my walk even though they were busy. On my return the lady recognised me and asked after my experience I was tempted by the paper menu at the bar and ordered the hearty and delicious Walnut, Leek and Stilton Pie with mash, gravy with onion , mange tout and sprouting brocoli for £16 Wonderful that the veg option wasn't the usual pub cop out of some over sweetened pie. This was good veg cooked in a pub grub style on a decent size plate Recommended Side note for info: Any dinner meals must be eaten inside the pub and can't be on the lawns outside even if sunny Lunch time in summer is outside -different menu obviously

My sister and I stopped in for lunch today. I had a Fox Tor burger, which was amazing, and the best burger I've had in years. My sister had a Classic burger, which she really enjoyed. The only thing that let the meal down were the fishy flavoured fries. The beer was very good too. I had a Powderkeg Speakeasy.

Friendly landlord. Beautiful setting. Good Devon beers on tap. The outdoor bar wasn't open, but you can take glasses outside as long as you return them when you've finished (otherwise the wild ponies knock them off the tables and they smash).

Stopped by to grab some food on our journey home to Cornwall. Short distance off the A30, but felt miles away - very peaceful. Friendly staff and great food, well priced and big portions. Definitely worth a quick detour

Great spot to wet your whistle and fill your belly after a brisk 10km walk on the moors. Lovely village, friendly staff. The Tor burger with thick smoked bacon and aged cheese, piping hot chicken and leek pie with a good portion of fresh greens along with real ale exceeded expectations. Would love to return for the Sunday roast.

Just ate in the pub but WOW. Amazing food, gorgeous setting, even in the rain - it was picture-perfect and the food matched. Would love to come back.

Absolutely delicious burgers, good size portions and great beer all accompanied by breathtaking views of the Dartmoor hills!

Good selection of local beers & ciders, Burgers were to die for. They were served in takeaway bags, but still really good. Well worth the hike!

Fantastic scenery, well run pub and inn, great food, great camaraderie! I loved it. I'm going back next year (live in America), and book a room at the inn itself. I'm telling, you, this is a fantastic place to visit. Want real village life? Try Belstone and the Tors Inn. Want to meet some wonderful people? Again, go to Belstone and the Tors Inn. I guarantee you won't be disappointed! In an odd way, it was sort of like "going home."

Great British country pub. Evening meal and breakfast were excellent and the room was very clean and nicely presented. Definitely worth a return trip.

Sadly not a good experience both the man behind the bar and the elder lady serving food where both very rude! There argued back with us before we could even explain that our food was stint cold and the jacket potato came without beans even though we ordered with them. There was no apology at all, they offered to redo it (not happily) and 5 minutes later it then came back cremated to the point it looked like a granary baguette They said that it's as hot as we will get it! And it's my boyfriends fault his beagutte was cold to begin with as he didn't eat quick enough. I recommended As a manager I think you need to listen to your customers more before getting aggressive and maybe teach your staff some manners. Otherwise what lovely views around the pub and walks but wouldn't be coming back here again !

Great service, great food, great drinks and an even better location. I had a drink surrounded by horses with stunning Dartmoor views. If you're local, or visiting the area, this can't be missed.

We have been going to the Tors on and off since 2004. Always friendly and great food. Would highly recommend.

Today we had a large group booked for Sunday roast. On arrival our table was not set out for the correct amount of people. We were very rudely told we were not able to have Sunday roast as they did not have enough. Very disappointed we sat to choose something else from the menu, then we're told we could now have a roast. When the roast arrived the proportions were appauling, the children being given 1 small roast potato and everyone one very slim slice of meat. Minimal vegetables, all tasteless and bland. After the meal, all still being hungry, we ordered from the sweet menu. After waiting for the desserts to arrive, we were told they had none of a particular dessert half the group had ordered. We then choose new desserts and waited. Once they arrived, one tart arrived swimming in a thin, completely waterlike soup of custard while others arrived with minimal sides of cream or just the wrong side. During all of our meal, another large group was having very similar problems with waiting for food for over an hour and being asked to order desserts while still eating their main. We all left incredibly disappointed and will not return.

Had a long old slog on Dartmoor today on a loop from Belstone. After hitting a few Tors it only seemed fair to 'reward' myself with a few beers in the pub at the end. What a lovely little village pub. Nice locals, great staff, proper beer. Will be returning....possibly not after a 15 mile walk this time!
Sarah Wells
Brilliant! Lovely little touches and great prices made for a lovely lunch. Totally recommend.
