Salem Kitchen in Bengaluru is a must-visit. Their crispy dosas, mouthwatering biryanis, and unique dishes like chilli kothu parota and egg kothu parota ( for vegetarians and eggetarians like me) are a treat. Don't miss their spongy mini idlis with amazing chutneys. The affordable mini meals during lunch are perfect for IT folks and students. Fast service, attentive staff, and authentic flavors make Salem a top choice for quality and ambiance.

One of the best ambience , the food was great and it was delivered to the table on time unlike many places where they make you wait. Few dishes were unique to this restaurant and are a must try . Tiffins were great too and had good filter coffee after a very long time .

Food taste was average and bit spicy. Price is high with respect to food quality and hotel standards.

Review from Ghatotkatcha Salem, a place in Tamilnadu is very famous just not for food! The flavours are quite unique, which reminds us of iconic restaurants in Salem. Salem Kitchen, a 20 year old place is very much underrated in AECS Layout serves you fantastic dishes from Salem. The meals here costs ₹80, you need the unlimited one with pulicharu, it costs ₹110 A nice Tamilnadu style meal for lunch is much appreciated. Naatu Kozhi fry has infused pepper and dry, that's so perfect for meat lovers. Mutton Varuval is quite unique, the flavours are top notch with a bit of tart pulling us. Mutton chukka is made in Salem style, slightly dark, dry and pitch perfect. The Biryani here is a must try, we have flavours of lamb prominent along the masala in a subtle way, while the chicken biryani is a total contrast where tomato shows up in the front, along with a lot of spice Do try the Chicken Biryani combo too

Had tried out breakfast here. They have two separate areas service and self-service section (only in the evening). Hotel is well maintained. Had idly and tea. Idly and chutney was very tasty, Sambar was tasty too but I felt it was little bit watery. Tea was also very good. Service was very prompt. One star less because I felt the prices were little bit on the higher side. But still it was worth the price. Do check this place if you want to enjoy authentic Tamil Nadu Salem cuisine.

Trying Kongu cuisine for the first time. This is not a high end place, more economy. You go for the food, not the service or ambience. Having dosa with mutton gravy is a different experience, a match made in food heaven. The dosa was really good, mildly fluffy and yet slightly crisp at the bottom. The mutton soup was good too and the filter coffee was excellent, one of the few places where the waiter actually asked our sugar preference. We also had the Salem style mutton Biryani but didn’t particularly enjoy it, maybe it’s too new to our taste buds. They serve a lot of non vegetarian food. They never got us buttermilk which we ordered in spite of reminding them twice.

Want to have some Tamil Nadu style authentic breakfast or meal this is the place you should come .. The seating area is there shaded verandah it’s a low priced nice ambiance place .. You get some breakfast combo in morning which are priced cheaper then regular breakfast and during meal time you have many option to go from .. We once tried idly vada combo breakfast served with coffee , idly was super soft and spongy and Pongal which was so fresh and tasted good with ghee.. We have tried there veg meal again a good fulfilling meal we thoroughly enjoyed..
