The food is good, if you're in the area, that is. Nothing that made me go WOW, I need to come back for this. It was the new year, so the place was quite crowded. But otherwise, a decent place to eat. A bit heavy on the pocket though

Loved the authentic panni puri and dahi puri at this place. One order just wasn't enough for us, we ended up getting two sets each.
Wrapped it up with ghee roast dosa and a rawa masala dosa washed down with salty lassi.
Will be coming back!

Typical yesteryear bangalorean restaurant, thriving mostly on its loyal clientele. Along the lines of Airlines hotel, Woodlands and Khoshys. However don't mistake it for lazy service or mediocre food.
The food is good, service is brisk and the prices are fair-ish (not over priced and snooty).
The menu is traditional.

Very tasty and quality food. A well cleaned, calm and quiet atmosphere. Nice staff. I tried idli and vada, both were very tasty and soft.

It's only the name of the restaurant at Ballal Hotel. It's at the ground floor.
Even though it is the old restaurant and the style, it's very spacious and neat one.
What more the food is high quality .
The masala dosa is too good . Tea is also good.
Nice place for informal meet and good food.
If you are looking to have a quiet place to hang around, even with coffee, this is the place, especially evenings 4.00pm- 7.00pm
18th April 2023,
We had a meeting here today. Of course the Masala Dosa and Mangalore Bajjis was there which was so yummy. Finished off with excellent tea.
29th May 2023 - our group had Dinner. Starting with Soup, roti with Dhal and paneer, ghee rice and Menthya rice .
It was all good.

The BEST restaurant in Bangalore. Royal ambience. Very calm place. Very good taste. Best vada I have tasted in my life. Rates little high, but justified. Very good staff. South Indian items were over by 11.30 a.m. Very neatly and hygienically maintained. No self-service wing. No hassles. Ample parking space. Garden in front. We had a wonderful time. Great experience. North Indian items are available in the evening. Only South Indian items in the morning. Very neat handwash and wash rooms

This restaurant exudes a delightful retro ambiance in the heart of Bangalore. Its inviting, relaxed atmosphere makes it a perfect retreat, although it tends to get quite bustling on weekends. While the initial visits left me satisfied, I've noticed a gradual decline in the food's quality with subsequent visits. Thankfully, the consistent level of service remains praiseworthy. The convenience of ample car parking is a definite plus, and the rates continue to offer excellent value for money.

Air conditioned restaurant, pure vegetarian. Good South Indian dishes served here. There's ample parking space. Affordable prices. There are not many beverage options. Good to order South Indian meals. Overall a decent food and service.

it is one of the oldest, well known upscale restaurants of Bangalore. The place can be crowded during lunch time and the wait can be long, but it's worth the wait. we tried their south indian meal, bisi bele baath, bonda soup, bisi bele bath, everything tasted amazing. Service is very quick and good, even though it was crowded. well maintained and had the satisfaction of having good food.
