Kurtoskalacs

Went to Kurtoskalacs after hearing much about their famous chimney cones and cakes. I had a red velvet chimney cone and a dark nut rises chimney cake. Both were awesome and a completely different type of dessert experience. The bread/cake portion is really soft and tasty and add along a flavour like red velvet or nutella and it becomes a wonderful and sinful combination.

If you're looking at a good and welcome change in your dessert, then you must come to Kurtoskalacs for sure. They are serving hungarian pastries and savouries out of this tiny, but well decorated place. Please be informed: this place will send you on a sugar high! The options are quite a lot, and they are all lipsmacking good!

Loved the concept of chimney cones & cakes here. A cozy place in Koramangala 5th block, walkable from Jyoti nivas college, this place offers great Hungarian Chimney cones & cakes, along with some refreshing shakes. Must try: Vegetarian savoury cones: Fiery Paneer & spinny corn cone. Desserts: Red Cheese berry chimney cake, smurfs(blue velvet chimney cake), Nutella Curl chimney cone. A MUST VISIT place for trying out new food dishes. Will surely visit again. Overall 5 on 5. Great food stuff.

A different experience with the Hungarian delicasy. A unique concept of selling chimney cakes in Bangalore (probably the first). Kuroskalacs or chimney cakes are must try as they are really unique. Their delicious savouries are fun to enjoy. Chimney cakes are a very interesting and refreshing take on deserts in Bangalore. The red velvet one is wonderful, really enjoyed every bite of it. The snickers chimney cakes are also really nice. The smurfs I didn't like though. They have so many options even a chicken one The concept of ice-cream in a cake cone is also unique. The deserts are heavy and one to die for. Thought the cakes tastes better when they are warm. The lady companion of mine was having tough time chewing through the doughy cold cake. This is a small cafe with small seating capacity and the ambience is really soothing. The service is nice and and staffs are really helpful. I would definitely recommend this place.

When I first saw the name "Kurtoskalacs", I wondered what's this place is all about? Why such an odd name? To get answers there were to options, 1. google it out. or 2. explore the place. I being I, decided to explore the place and I definitely don't regret. Kurtoskalacs is a type of spit cake popular in Hungary and also known as the chimney cake. Traditionally a sweet yeast dough is wrapped on a cone, rolled on powdered sugar and baked till golden brown. At "Kurtoskalacs" you will get this traditional chimney cake as well as many mouth watering sweet and savoury variations carefully crafted to suit the Indian palate. In all my visits I have tried the below flavours and liked them all. Cinnamon Sugar basic chimney cake: The basic version and it was so good with caramelized sugar outside accompanied perfectly by the flavour of cinnamon. 👌👌👌👌👌 Oreo basic chimney cake: It was quite good as well but my personal choice will be the basic one 👌👌👌👌 Red Velvet dessert chimney cone: Red velvet chimney cake topped with vanilla ice cream. In one word, heavenly 👌👌👌👌👌 Green Street savoury cone: A savoury cone field with amazingly tasty tender pieces of andhra chilli chicken. 👌👌👌👌👌 I also tried their Macciato from the beverage list and it was decent. 👌👌👌

We went to this cafe just because of their wierd n attractive name..and thier menus. Place is small it has outdoor n indoor seating Food is served bit slow ..decor is good .. Food quality is good.. We ordered watermelon n green apple juice.. N v ordererd chimney cones like magic mushrooms and Nutella curl..it was soo good n worth to try..if you are chocolate lover nutella curl is worth to try..and for complimentary they gave us vanilla ice cream with topped chocosyrup.. Overall v had a great time over here..

I was very excited to try this place for a while now. Big fan of chimney cones. The place is situated on a cozy corner in Koramangala. I absolutely loved their savory chimney cones. Anyone who hasn't tried them yet definitely needs to. Tried: Butter chicken savory cone: Must order. Carolina chicken: BBQ sauce so it's a little on the sweeter side. Nutella curl: U ll fall in love at the sight of this one. However the ice cream could have been better.
