Cafe Coffee Day

I'd never had a high opinion of CCD or thought of it as a "cafe", having only been to a branch once in Delhi. But here I was pleasantly suprised! This is like a proper cafe you'd find in the West. The location at the end of the road near Ashoka Pillar in South Bangalore is beautiful. The building and layout is excellent. The "summer specials" selection is the best coffee I ever had. Service is great. They only give 1GB of Wifi however (SLAY gives more but isn't half as good). I came here multiple times when I was nearby, sometimes even taking an auto to get here.

Food: veg burger looks good. But can improve on filings. High on garlic. Would rather that they don't use processed cheese for a 370 bucks burger. Ambience: place is well maintained. Room temperature just comfortable. Catering is prompt. Sit out may seem like a fancy idea. But the pollution on that road may introduce micro life and added petro exhausts into your coffee.

This is no longer the typical CCD but a new offering from the CCD house - a mid sized supermarket akin to Reliance Fresh.....Looks compact and is well maintained....You can also buy some basic coffee and beverages at the small pantry they have....Should wait and see how it fares against stiff competition
