I usually stay here when I visit North Wales. Betws-Y-Coed is a beautiful little place and Y Stablau is in a great location as part of the Royal Oak. The rooms are clean, warm and comfortable. The food in The Stables is fairly typical pub food but that’s fine. The portions are generous, the service is prompt and the staff are friendly. There’s a good range of drinks too. It’s a good place and I recommend it

Y Stablau is a very busy spot. The BBQ short ribs and corn were superbly tender and delicious. The chicken burger was average, but the beef pie was nice. The Margarita Pizza was OK! Service: They do the bare minimum, so don't expect too much! On the plus side, it’s a dog-friendly place.

Lovely location with plenty of tables both inside and outside under a canopy. Slick simple ordering via the QR code on each table with online payment. Parking is at the rear and costs a few pounds for a couple of hours. Food was good value and pretty decent at the price point. Service was rapid, and everything arrived very quickly. I have no hesitation recommending this place and will definitely visit again.

Been going to this place for years. Pre covid it was a lovely relaxed and very accessible place for post hills food. Post covid lots of expansion and tougher to get a table. Food is still awesome with a lovely environment. Highly recommended. Food stops at 9. Go early. It’s worth it

Great place for basic food, very busy at times, which made it difficult to get a table. Lovely outside area with overhead heaters to keep you snug. Food serviced quickly.

Betws Y Coed is a beautiful place as I'm sure anyone would agree. After an afternoon at the nearby Zip world, one of the staff recommended we try The Stables for dinner! Glad we followed his advice!! Plenty of outdoor seating for food or just for a few drinks. Able to order at the bar or through the QR code on each table (as we did). Opted for the spicy burger, with a side of special loaded fries. Mrs went with the mild option chicken curry. Both really enjoyed the food. Very reasonably priced. Service was really efficient. Plenty of staff around. Polished it off with the Belgian waffle myself and boss lady chose the cheesecake. Both very tasty and beautifully presented also. The place had a lovely atmosphere, was very busy but still plenty of seating to be had (which is always appealing, there's a reason places are busy/lively!). Only drawback, if you sit outside, be prepared to deal with a few wasps (which in all honesty could probably be said for anywhere this time of year).

Went to Y Stablau - Stables Bar for a meal, and we weren't disappointed, we had a lovely meal, and it was well cooked. The food was delicious, the staff were friendly and the atmosphere was relaxed. It rounded our day off nicely.

Great location in the centre of Betws y Coed. Lucky to be here on a warm September evening and so able to sit outside. 45 min wait for food but that was no problem as it was a busy Saturday night and it was nice to enjoy the atmosphere anyway. Food is sourced from local suppliers and cooked fresh. All in all, excellent.

The service here is prompt, the food is good quality, and the area is clean and well maintained. There is a reasonable variety of dishes that you'd expect at a typical pub grub venue, and the prices are in line with the higher end UK pubs. At the busier times, it can be a bit of a waiting game for an outside table, but this is to be expected as it's a popular area. All in all, a reliable family and dog friendly eating experience.
