We have been numerous times and have never been disappointed. The three afternoon teas available are wonderful but you have to book 48 hours in advance. Do try the double pork pie dish, the scotch eggs and the sausage rolls. The seating is comfortable and the whole place feels welcoming. Try the
Our 2nd visit in a week. With our dog - dog friendly. I had their pork pie ploughmans lunch with Ruby Crumble cheese wedge. Lovely, really so nice.
It has beautiful ambience and a soothing atmosphere. It's dog friendly. The Lunch menu: Jacket Potatoes are really delicious and filling. The staff are warm, sweet, helpful and nice.
Visited The Travellers Rest today and very disappointed. Asked to be seated near the fire as the place was freezing. Even sat near the fire l had to put my coat on. We had a special afternoon tea delivered by Chris. Could not fault it. Everything delicious, fresh, well presented and on time. Emily and Chris always go the extra mile and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend 100%
We’ve just had the most amazing takeaway afternoon tea from The Travellers Rest. I ordered in advance online and the communication was excellent. There was so much food that we couldn’t finish it all........it’s in the fridge and we’ll finish it before bed time! The chocolate brownie is to die for.
A fantastic full English Breakfast, well presented and served by fabulous staff, who were friendly and helpful. Will be back again soon.
Celebration of my birthday with 2 grown up children. Went for coffee an cake. Had the ice-cream fresh fruit with honey so tasty. We'll worth a visit.
