Had a 5 minute wait as we hadn't reserved a table, lunch time was very busy. Good food and service. Nice atmosphere. Plenty of choice on the menu. Will definitely return.
Visited today as we were in Beverley and it was close to where we were parked. It was early afternoon and busy, but not full. Lovely place and food delicious. We were lucky to get a outside seat and enjoyed people watching in the sun! Staff very friendly. I couldn’t fault it apart from one toilet for the whole place!

Whaaat an absolute delight! Lovely, warm, welcoming staff who are so polite, genial and friendly. You'd come back for the service alone. I had Marimba hot chocolate, which was divine. Lovely place with original house features maintaned (as mwntioned before this is Grade II historical house).
Good coffee with milk and biscuit (no extra charge for both) and tea (with extra boiled water).
Nice snack in form of sandwitches and crumpets and good cheesecake to the coffee.

Visited today and had two Sunday lunches plus a Caesar Salad. It was all lovely, but in particular the Sunday lunch was hot, tasty and everything was fresh. Thank you, you could teach other establishments how it's done.
The reviews already here say it all,I would only like to add that we arrived very close to closing time but were told to take a seat and handed a menu..Soup and sandwich was delicious..Others should watch and learn..

I’m recently diagnosed as lactose intolerant. The kind staff member went to check with the kitchen what I could have. There was an almond and orange cake which was good and moist.
Fabulous historic house that's been converted to a family run cafe. Lovely staff and all the food and cakes are home made. Large portions, lovely side salad and plenty of tea.
