resturant unfortunately not open had to order at bar which was not a problem. young lady behind bar was on her own so yet was very nice. seabass unavailable so went for sausage and mash. Nice food, excellent service but would of been nicer in a restaurant setting not the pub bit with young people in scimpy clothing.
I stayed here overnight for my 40th Birthday celebrations and it didn't disappoint. We have been to Beverley before but not to the Kings Head and what a great welcome we were given. Elliot the manager on duty could not do enough for us, he was friendly, helpful about the area and knowledgeable about the food menu. He kindly gave us a couple of drinks tokens and thanked us for booking direct, which was a nice touch. He informed us of the 20% off of the food bill too if we ate in.
The room itself was lovely and comfortable. We stayed in room 6 which has a free standing bath in the room a lovely boutique touch. It was nicely decorated, had a pod coffee machine, cookies and bottled water which was nice.
The food in the restaurant was amazing, they clearly have very talented chefs!! Scallops and Ribeye steak cooked perfectly, a very delicious menu accompanied by an equally delicious wine menu.
Once we had eaten we went for a walk around the town to let dinner settle before returning for a nightcap. The bar tenders were great, chatty and knowledgeable about the drinks on tap. All this followed by a fantastic night's sleep and an equally amazing breakfast made our stay 10 out of 10. Would highly recommend!!
We appreciate the pub/restaurant was quiet as it is midweek but would love to see it bouncing too at the weekend. Will definitely be back!
Stayed here for 1 night as visiting my daughter. The staff were excellent and very courteous. Only name I can remember is Lottie and she was lovely and very helpful as they all were. The room.we had was amazing and very spacious. We ate breakfast (extra charge) the next morning and it was lovely (although would have loved some black pudding!) . We both loved the bar area too and will definitely stay again in a couple of weeks when we next visit my daughter.
Faultlessly perfect in all aspects. On 09/09/2023 we attended Kings Head as a party of 12, including a guide dog, for a 60th Birthday celebratory meal. We were waited on by Beth who was flawless. Incredibly attentive, friendly, polite and engaging, she made a wonderful family experience all the better and our greatest thanks go to her. Secondly, the food was stunning. We all enjoyed 3 courses covering the vast majority of the menu between us (including cooking for diners with differing food requirements and allergies). Furthermore providing a lovely atmosphere and located perfectly in Beverley town centre, I’d happily recommend Kings Head to anyone wanting a meal or drinks for a special occasion in Beverley. Thank you
Exellent services very quick food was beautiful and worth the prices definitely be back again
Sunday Plated carvery, definitely quality over quantity! Not a huge plate full of food, however every fall full is to savour and full of really great flavours! Service was excellent both inside and out. Visited many times and this place is always full and a relaxing atmosphere……
Exceptional hotel in the very centre of the historic market town of Beverley in East Yorkshire. Great central location for shops, bars and pubs. We booked a suite at a very reasonable price, we had a separate bedroom, bathroom, dressing area and lounge. The lounge included a Victorian type free standing bath! The check-in was quick and simple. The young lady showed us to the room. Little extras included great toiletries, tea pigs, 2 x TV's and a couple of packets of a salted nuts and chocolate mixture, yum. The room was very clean with a lovely bed. We went out for dinner but returned later to the great bar area for really well priced drinks. Breakfast was served in the separate restaurant. Great choice of hot and cold. Tea and coffee was served at the table. We chose the eggs benedict at £8 extra which was first class. All in all a great place to stay, I would really recommend this pub/hotel. Five stars!
Popped in for a bite to eat with the family. The kids had a Margarita Pizza which they devoured. I went for a Rump Steak which was delicious, and my wife had a Burger. In all a very pleasant meal and to be honest it exceeded my expectations.
Dog friendly in the back area and the beer garden, food is amazing been twice and both times really impressed with the food
We really loved our time here! The food and drinks were great, pricier than expected but the service made up for this.
The team were really friendly and helpful, we had young children and the team went above and beyond to look after us.
