The Rose & crown is a large timbered building on the corner of Westwood Road. There is a good choice of beers and largers, including two cask conditioned hand pulled real ales, which were in excellent condition on my visit. Great place for a celebratory meal out with the family. It was busy and hot, but the staff were a little lax in their service, we almost times out our parking waiting for food. Would happily go back to try again though. Great fresh food and options on the specials board too.
The whole experience was brilliant! Every single person in our group loved their meals, as you can see from the photos the portions are generous but also very high in quality. We can’t wait to come back again
Fabulous Sunday lunch... Again!
Roast dinner with all 3 meats of pork, beef and turkey, huge yorky pud, veg's, stuffing, crackling, mash, gravy and cauliflower cheese for extra £3.
To top it off, a triple chocolate brownie sundae which we shared. Worth every penny!
First visit in a couple of years. We both had beef Sunday lunch, it was delicious. We also had cauliflower cheese as a side. Lovely inside and out and all the staff made us feel really welcome. Excellent value for money, we will be back. Thank you.
Attended a lively and busy leaving event in the upper room. Excellent food served in the function room. The only downside was no real ale able to be served upstairs and the room was rather noisy as there was no sound absorbing surfaces.

My wife and I went for a meal last night the beer and wine was excellent as was the food. The Thai Red Curry was one of the best I have had. Also proper chips. Very good friendly service as well.
Decent food, with HUGE portions, seemed to be something for everyone
No official children's menu, but they will do half portions of many dishes. Make sure you're specific and clear about the fact you want a child's portion as I was not
We had a crab salad special, which was lovely, a homemade pie

Called in at lunch time today. Got the last table , everyone else looked like they had pre booked. Food was excellent, high quality ingredients, really good service and a nice place. Decent value and very large portions.
Superb Sunday lunch yet again...proud this is my local. Roast turkey this week was fabulous with great yorkshire pud and vegetables along with a nice glass or two of wine... I'd marry the chef! Thank you x
A group of four attended during the afternoon. Had hoped for some food but they don't serve when the races are on. That's understandable. The beer garden is lovely in the sun and the staff are friendly and helpful. Would go again on a sunny afternoon.

Members of a choir visiting Beverley for a few days to sing in the Minster had a wonderful evening together at the Rose and Crown yesterday. Lovely food, great service and a wonderful atmosphere. Just right!
We had Sunday lunch in the Rose and Crown, and can honestly say it's the best I have ever had, everything was cooked perfectly and all piping hot. We will be back soon.
Food and service excellent! The staff couldn't do enough for you and made you feel so welcome. It appears to have been recently been refurbished and they've done a fantastic job. We will definitely be coming back, and bringing the dog! Thoroughly recommend the steak 👌🏻
