The Beaver is I think the one pub in Beverley I had never been in, after frequenting most of them for over 40 years. As a real ale drinker It was the John Smith's sign outside that put me off. However I decided to call in and I am glad I did. They have the usual range of beers you find in a John Smith's pub and two very nice hand pulled cask conditioned real ales. It's a nice pub inside a narrow frontage but the pub goes back a long way. The pub is very nicely done out There are pub games, and plenty of TV screens for watching sports. There's also TV showing music videos which was really good, not something you see in other pubs. The staff are very welcoming, there is outside seating and the pub is dog friendly. A really good pub I will definitely be back.

Top sports bar with plenty of fan space..with a more traditional seating area to the front...only gripe would be no I.P.A to offer...it's the new cider!

Very friendly staff, you will be made welcome here. An excellent choice of drinks, this is a lovely pub hidden in plain sight! You should add it to your list of places to try, you won't be disappointed.

If you like sport, this is the place to be in Beverley, covering just about everything that is on TV.Popular place at similar prices to most pubs, with a good range of beers, wines and spirits, not sure if they still do food. Parking available within 50 yards either side, same for disabled, but have wheelchair access into the lower side of the bar. Table service with good helpful staff.Happy Hour available from 3 til 6/7 ish every day.

Fantastic pub. Staff showed great banter, gave personal opinions and advice on what drinks to have and even catered for our needs to put the Practice Session for the Formula 1 on!

Staff are friendly, warm, accomodating and inviting to match the new refurb...proactive new management in place and a well needed stylish update to the ladies facilities, well done! I visited gingerly a couple of weeks ago to visit a friend expecting the "old beaver" but I'm glad to announce it now lives up to its name and its curbside appeal... (The only thing prevented me from giving 5 stars are the door supervisor staff: one in particular is rude, aggressive from the get-go and generally tarnishes the otherwise much more professional and modern establishment that is now The Beaver...he clearly is a DS of a thankfully mostly bygone generation as he doesn't believe in customer service nor appearance, he will happily smoke and argue on duty!)
