Brilliant local pub.. Holden's brewery, so good real ale offerings... Always kept at top notch quality.
Staff are great... Nick the landlord is a fantastic chap, all round friendly local.
Just make sure you check opening times as tends to be open from 4sh onwards, so don't expect a lunchtime pint there. ;)

Went to the Monday night quiz. A good quiz with a modern twist as it's all done on a tablet to avoid cheating. Something to get used to and you need to be very quick with your answers as extra points are awarded to the first team to answer which doesn't seem quit fair to older slower minds. A nice atmosphere though with friendly staff and good beer selection.

Another fine English boozer. Frequented by proper people enjoying nicely kept beers! No tossers and meaty bone shaped treats for well mannered dogs.... Sorted! 😁

Great local pub. Pub snacks of cobs, pork pie and scotch eggs. Plus the landlord keeps a good pint. Just what you want for a drink without having to eat a meal in a pub.
Since this place has been taken under new management the interiors look much better (a much needed spruce up!) and they're serving decent food too. Staff are also friendly. Would be nice to see more business bought here so they can continue improving the premises and their menu.
Iv not been in for years but Pop in last weekend and found it really nice the beer was lovely and the bar staff was pleasantly friendly
Newly refurbished Holdens pub, superb pint of golden glow Nick is a great host and manager. Well worth popping in for the warm welcome and a great pint.
Nice boozer this one.a little jem , Holden's lager outstanding and cheap.would recommend this pub to anyone.

Lovely , dog friendly pub , where they keep the Golden Glow perfectly. The pork pies are a must too!
