Hamiltons On The Square - Birkenhead - Photo album

definitely the best underground Liverpool station. Its very spacious and gets a great service. it's also a simple Interchange between the chester/Ellesmere Port services and the new Brighton services.
A relatively large station serving as interchange between the North and South Wirral lines into Liverpool city centre. Clean and easy to navigate, with helpful staff. The station is built on a curve so there is a larger than usual gap between the train and the platform in places.
Like this 1886 historic station along with James Street station.Has lifts taking you about 30 meters below ground to the platforms, or you could always use the stairs which is a bit of a climb! To see more interesting historical facts and photos of Liverpool's historic places please tap my local gu
The refurbishment on Hamilton Square station has made the place look much more inviting and cleaner. The friendly staff at the MtoGo shop are knowledgeable on the local transport system and can sell tickets to any station in the UK. Trains call here every 3-4 minutes in the daytime towards Liverpool
Nice place to connect other routes to Chester and new Brighton
Hamilton square is an amazing station, it's pretty odd as to get to train you have to do lifts. Its first or last bit of Mersey underground depending which way your going but feels calmer than londons underground. Fantastic old architecture too
A good railway station very convenient to the centre of Birkenhead.
Used this station frequently as we were staying at the local Premier Inn. Thank you to the very helpful gentleman in the ticket office who gave us advice on tickets etc as we were a family of four travelling around Liverpool city.
Much better since the revamp, a few more benches would be good. Staff are friendly and helpful
It's just a railway station what more can one say staff very friendly and helpful
First stop on the wirral for trains from Liverpool on the merseyrail underground, small station, 4 lifts to platforms.
