This is the second time we have met as a group here Service friendly and cater well for vegetarian and non-vegetarians. We shares the vegetarian and meat starter platters which were excellent Recommend and will visit again when in Birmingham

The food was delicious, I would recommend visiting again. All I would say is the food could have been served faster but they compensated with free drinks and discount on our bill.

We arrived hoping for a Valentine's night treat and had a bit of a mixed experience. It didn't start well, we were not aware of the set menu, indeed if we had known before hand I wouldn't have booked. Allegedly they tried to contact people but I'm not sure I could accept this as I noticed there were a few customers who I could see were "surprised" and the table next to us walked out. I felt sorry for the lovely waitresses who were put in a very awkward position by what looked liked a bit of sharp practice by the management, indeed all the girls did an excellent job throughout. First of all it's a lovely place although the tables were too close together where we sat, our table also had a wobbly leg but our technically gifted waiter fixed it with a bit of paper. The set menu at £30 for meat or vegetarian, and £35 pp for fish was quite limited in choice and not what I would have gone for but we decided to make do as we doubted that we would find an alternative restaurant. At least we had two complimentary proseccos to keep the wife happy, unfortunately no alternative for me who doesn't like it. It's a lovely place and they had made a bit of an effort but the evening hadn't really thought through. The music was obtrusive and not great, in fact so poor for my taste that I would have welcomed Craig David. No poppadoms but a very nice selection of starters, luckily we both liked all of the set platter. The mains came with a side and a rice or nan. Again we were fortunate to find something that we liked given the limited choice. The rogon josh, sag aloo, nan and rice were excellent, the chitwan chicken and Bombay aloo were distinctly average. We wouldn't have ordered (and paid for) this much food normally but as we had paid for it we took the surplus home for another day. I am not sure if it was just us but we were also offered a complimentary dessert which was a lovely surprise. We would definitely go back but not for Valentine's Day.

Just visited jojolapa’s..... still here! Amazing restaurant and amazing staff, very attentive. Always apologising for any wait on food, but trust me it is worth the wait! Beautiful food, amazing flavour and depth! Will be back!

Wide range of starters and mains including an extensive range of vegetarian options, mostly demonstrating the differentials between Nepalese and other Asian cuisines. Roomy restaurant about midway between the Snow Hill and Jewellery Quarter stations - the latter has a Banksy just outside.

Excellent quality food in a warm (in every sense) & pleasant atmosphere. A slightly different take on south Asian food, with each of the dishes we ordered having its own distinctive flavour. A lot of people of south Asian extraction eating there, which is always a good sign. Plenty of choice for vegetarians and a well laid out menu. Prices perfectly reasonable in what is quite a chi-chi part of town

We decided to try somewhere new in the Jewellery Quarter and ended up here. So so happy we did! We have both come away really full from the delicious food and very satisfied. Staff were very welcoming and accommodating especially as we hadnt booked a table and it was busy Friday night. Would definitely recommend. We will definitely be returning and taking friends and family back with us!

We chose this place because of the extensive vegetarian selection on the menu, 5-star hygiene rating and the good reviews. It’s in an impressive industrial building, tastefully decorated and with tables decently spaced. Friendly staff are attentive without being over-present, and happy to offer advice on menu choices. The food is absolutely astounding compared to a normal ‘Indian’ restaurant - packed with flavour as well as the necessary heat. Loads of vegetarian and vegan options. Nepalese beer and about a dozen gins to wash the food down. Good music too. All-in-all, a real treat and worth a visit.

Came here for dinner with colleagues. It's a fairly large and fun sort of place with buddha decor and a bar vibe. Food is Nepalese/Indian. I had a starter of chicken momos, which were quite nice though nothing out of the ordinary. My main course of chicken & spinach curry was good though again nothing extraordinary. Everyone seemed pretty happy with the food and there were lots of vegetarian and vegan choices. Unfortunately, drinks were fairly limited and they don't have a drinks menu apart from a small wine list. However, staff were very nice, effective and attentive. For a group this was a good, fun place to come to.

I had the opportunity to visit Jojolapa Nepalese bar last night and what a pleasure it was! The food was delicious. I can highly recommend the vegetarian steamed Johl Momo and the Targra Tarkari (I hope I got the names right). They were full of flavours and nicely presented. The dumplings (Momo) were AMAZING. I went there on my own (business trip) and was made feel welcome and not awkward. The staff were very pleasant, efficient and professional. The surroundings were spacious and attractive. The restaurant is easy to find. If you are in the Jewellers Quarter of Birmingham, give it a try, you won’t regret it. It is a Jem of a place!!

It’s been our second visit and both times the food was great. The portions are large and the staff is very kind and polite. All in all, a happy and relaxed experience - perfect for a Sunday!

I visited last night as part of a group, it was the first time I had been to this restaurant, but it definitely won't be the last. First impressions were good as the decor is chic and welcoming, the staff were also very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent, the spices used were amazing, there was heat but more importantly the flavours were delicious. I particularly enjoyed the Chicken Chitwan. Servings were generous and the service was attentive throughout. We couldn't eat everything and were offered doggy bags to take the remainder home, unfortunately we weren't able to do that, however we were happy to know that the restaurant does not waste the food, but donates it to homeless people in the city. I will return very soon!
