Had my first experience today at Simpsons. Enjoyed the tasting meal. The service was impeccable. The advice and guidance provided by the knowledge staff made a real difference. Lovely venue. Party all settled for the 3 course lunch which was excellent with an unusual recommendation of a Brazilian red wine to go with the lamb which was an excellent pairing. Staff were all very professional and approachable. Will have to start saving for my next visits

Lovely relaxing lunch here. Great food and attentive staff. Garden was good too for pre lunch drinks and later coffee and petits fours. Also got a parking space in the restaurant car park.
This remains one of my favourite restaurants in the UK. The core is superb ingredients, expertly cooked, and served with skill. They are not trying too hard. The house and dining rooms are gorgeous. The staff are knowledgeable, professional and attentive. Oh, and friendly.
I’ve become disillusioned
A high price, for high quality. It’s fascinating how exquisite British cuisine and local ingredients can be. That’s what captivated me the most. Overall perfection is present in every aspect of the restaurant, from the staff, toilets, utensils, etc. A place where I would gladly eat on a daily basis.

The set menu was excellent and well thought out. Every course was full of flavor and tasty. The food was of the highest standard. Everything was perfect - flavour, quality, and presentation. The front of house team was spot on. They were attentive, but not overly so, and were massively accommodating to our gluten intolerant diner. A big shout out to the tapenard bread - stunningly good.
