Shababs - Birmingham - Photo album

First time I have been to Birmingham, and everyone has been hyping this place up for weeks. They weren't wrong at all. It's probably the best Indian I have ever been to, from the excellent service to the absolute perfect food, plus you can bring your own alcohol so that saves a few quid. The ingredi
Went for a balti here, walked in early Sunday Eve, with no reservation but they found us a table straight away. The main dishes came out after about 10 mins and they hit the spot, fish karahi, chicken with chana, chicken tikka jalfrezi were all excellent, great caramelised flavours where you can rea

So seen a few reviews on YouTube. And I wanted a hood decent Balti fish so went here. I hate driving in this area as it'd always busy but fortunately they open early so we had a mid afternoon lunch / dinner. I had Chicken and Lamb Balti, my son had tikka masala prawns and mushroom. They were out of
Great service, quick food prep. Tasty food and is reasonable price. Just a little shame about some of the plates corners are broken off. Tea cups too small overall would eat here again.
Absolutely loved this place! I really liked the menus in the tables ... Nice touch and you can have whatever you want as long as it's a balti which I don't mind as I love them! Went for a Chicken Tikka Balti Keema Jalfrezi which is a mouthful but it was gorgeous. Loved the rice and the Pakoras as we
Been to Birmingham a few times but only ever found a few good places to eat. Happily can now add another one to the list. We ordered chicken kebabs, a chicken karahi masala, with chapattis. The chapattis were hot and crispy, and big, but probably just a little too thick. The kebabs were delicious, h
One of the best meals I have ever had- the Balti is outstanding, full of flavour and spicy (the hot really does mean hot!). The portion sizes are big! Waiters attentive and friendly. There is a paid car park in the road opposite the restaurant. Will definitely make the effort to come here whenever I
Got balti beef and chicken do-piaza, 2 small naan (which were the size of serving platters) and a small rice......it's fricking AMAZING ! Recommend skipping the rice and just scooping delicious mouthfuls straight out of the metal pans. Highly recommend and will come again when we visit next from Mel
If you’re visiting Birmingham from out of town like I am, then you must go to Shababs. This place is insanely good. As soon as you walk in you’re greeted with a smile and the best service; not one of the staff was rude and they were very helpful. Then the food… I had a traditional balti and honestly
I took my Mum and sister to this restaurant as we were in Birmingham for a day. The food was excellent, service was fantastic and the atmosphere was great. All the servers were engaging and checked on us time to time. I want to personally thank Idris - our server who went the extra mile with his ser
The food was amazing, we all had different starters, mix grill, fish pakora, tikka and a prawn dish, they were all generous sizes and I have to say, the Sheesh kebab was probably the best I have ever eaten, true story. The mains were really flavoursome too and came in a massive balti bowl. The price

Great restaurant. We all had classic baltis and they were full of flavour. Very reasonable prices and you can bring alcohol from the shop down the road. Nice friendly vibe in the restaurant with all different groups enjoying the food.
The best balti we have ever had, brilliant service and a great experience
A fantastic balti restaurant. We were thrilled to have the opportunity to eat at one of the original balti restaurants in Birmingham’s famous Balti Triangle. My chicken balti was delicious spiced, with tasty rice and an enormous table naan which was light, fluffy and comfortably fed four adults. T
