Amazing food! Impressed with the baos, they are so delicious and tasty! The bowl was also really great, love how there are lots of toppings. Will reorder the same menu if I come back here, but the one that stood but the most is the Duck Breast Bao, just amazingly out of this world. The downside is that the place is quite small, might need to wait for a bit during rush hour. But, definitely worth it!

These baos are a different level. Every single one gives you a unique culinary experience bursting with asian flavours. An absolute gem hidden just outside Birmingham New street. Service was great and all staff were welcoming and recommend places to visit in Birmingham. A delight to visit this afternoon.

Tiger Bites Pig is a culinary gem that quickly transports you from the bustling streets of Birmingham to the vibrant flavours of Asia through their exceptional Bao offerings. The restaurant’s menu showcased everything I want from this cuisine and ranks as the best Bao I’ve ever had. Seeing the chefs at work is always an added bonus when their efforts produce such amazing results. The attention to detail in the flavour profile of each Bao is remarkable, with the perfectly pillowy steamed buns surrounding a compelling variety of fillings that made it hard to pick favourites on my first visit. The staff at Tiger Bites Pig were great, answered my questions and added to the overall positive experience, not overselling, and providing friendly and knowledgeable service. The food is memorable, simple - but these are obviously well thought out unique creations. It was recommended by people whose opinions I trust, and is worth making the effort to visit. I loved being able to take my dog too!

This is a small place but with big hearty bowls! Would highly recommend. Great atmosphere, great food, great service. I had the beef shin rice, and can honestly say it was delicious. I have never had an egg yolk so tasty! The meat was melt in your mouth. Pork Bao was a winner too!

Best bao bun place in Birmingham - this little gem never fails to disappoint, I have found myself craving the bao buns here from time to time and returning for more. The buns are steamed to the perfect softness, and the cured egg yolk is curated to give rich flavours which complements the other ingredients. Don’t be fooled by its size, it’s rather filling.

I cannot even begin to describe how good the rice bowls are here, genuinely the the best. I make sure I visit each time I visit the town centre. Cannot wait to come back, best pork ever hands down!

I've been here about 4 times now. The food here is just so good! The pork belly especially is marinated really well and tastes so flavourful. I highly recommend it. The buttermilk fried chicken bao is also very tasty. I only wish the place was bigger and had proper sitting but it doesn't bother me too much.

Fully recommend this place, the bao buns are delicious and freshly made. We got a selection but photographed are the chicken, beef shin and pork. The beef shin was amazing and my favourite so far. 1 bun is perfect for a lunch time snack and 2 filled me up for dinner. The place is very close to New Street station.

My dad and I were recommended this place and happy we came. Personable chefs and server, gave us some good choices and we weren’t disappointed. The beef was perfectly cooked, and portions were huge, worth the money. Small interior but cozy and warm! Would come back again next time in Birmingham!

Tiny, cozy, fast and full of flavor can describe this place! Service is excellent, really friendly staff, however the center of the place is flavor. Baos are steamed in front of you, the presentation is good, they are good size and will fill you fast. However the highlight here is the flavors, pork belly was super tender and packed with flavor, the fried chicken one was amazing, perfectly cooked, crispy outside but tender and juicy inside, definitely a treat!

Great food, tad on the expensive side. The rice bowls were really nice, and the Bao Buns were pretty great! A little bit stodgy, not the best i have had but still really nice + you can’t really get bao buns in Birmingham Good drink selection too

Probably the best bao buns we’ve ever eaten! It’s a tiny place but they make up for the lack of space with amazing food. We ordered beef rice bowl which was delicious and filling, two fried chicken baos (had to order an extra one because the first one was so so good) and a lamb bao too. Would definitely recommend, can’t wait to go back!

Lovely little restaurant with delicious food. The rice bowls are generously sized and very tasty. Service was quick and it's nice to sit at the bar and see the food being made, as it's a small place (<20 seats) it also made it feel more like an authentic Japanese bar. Friendly staff and good drinks selection too. Close to the station and definitely worth a visit if you're up in Birmingham and want some lunch/dinner.

Fantastic Bao and rice bowls just a short walk from the station. Visited for lunch after arriving in Birmingham and searching for local bao for lunch. The restaurant has a small footprint and was incredibly busy (which is always a good sign), so finding a seat was fortunate. We sat at the bar area overlooking the stove with all the pots of food and steamers. The smell was incredible. The food is fantastic quality, and the portions are generous. All the ingredients were fresh, and the flavours popped. I had a rice bowl and a single bao and, unfortunately, was too full to eat any more as I wanted to try them all. The staff were friendly and chatty as we asked about the food we were eating whilst watching them work. Was worth the price we paid and felt like we got good value for money. It's definitely worth a visit if you like bao. They even do takeaway so you can take some on the train with you when you leave.

Sought this restaurant out before a concert after hearing about it on the Off Menu podcast ages ago. Really glad we did! Tiny place but fast service so high turnover, I don't think you'd wait long for a table. We sat in the window at the bar where we could people watch or watch the open kitchen. Good drink selection, cans of Peachy and Karma kola were very welcome. We had a selection of boa buns and a short rib rice bowl. Both were packed with flavour and the meats were so tender. The bowl was a large portion with a really fresh and varied selection of pickles. Jury is still out on the salted egg yoke thought! The only downside to this place is the location. Not the nicest road and a little pungent on the street outside. Do not let that put you off you - seek this hidden gem out, you wont regret it. Just round the corner from the station, their takeaway would definitely be better than a sad sandwich!
