Chung Ying Cantonese Restaurant - Birmingham - Photo album

Haven't been here since COVID, but decided to book a table for a family meal on a Saturday night. We were seated straight away on time. Be warned the menu is very large with plenty of dishes. Every dish we tried was fantastic and really well cooked - no complaints at all! Service really good, the on
Visited here after going to the hippodrome. The server was super friendly. He gave us complimentary drinks for the wait time and just kept checking in and making sure we had everything we needed. We started our meal off with 4 starters, Vegan Yuk Sung, Peking Ribs, Crispy Aromatic Duck and Chicken Y
Another fabulous lunch at Chung Ying's our favourite Chinese restaurant. As ever the service was excellent with each dish to our liking. We always order far too much but then take home the food left over. A long lunch enjoyed with red wine and then an Uber home.
Bit more expensive but in my view worth it. Food was excellent: fresh, served piping hot and fast. Ambience is your typical bustling Chinese restaurant, busy and a bit chaotic with the decor still the same as 30 years ago. If you want delicious Chinese food and dim sum, I would really recommend gi
Sat in the heated and covered outdoor area by choice. Chinese music coveres Lovely choice of food - we went for dim sum Great selection and flavours. Particularly like the spicy tangy dip some come with
The food is authentically Cantonese style Chinese. A lot of sweet flavours which is so familiar to my childhood. Would highly recommend. I had sui Mai, char sui boa and prawn spring rolls. Delicious and will definitely recommend.
How did I not find this sooner! What a truly amazing place for Chinese / Cantonese food. We had a range of starters including crispy duck, ribs and I had the ying yang wings which I could not believe were gluten free they were THAT good! Mains were Curry, Szechuan Chicken, Chicken & Beef in Black
So good I came back after a week after to try different things off the menu. Yo! The food is absolutely delicious!
I had a lovely time with my boyfriend at the restaurant. It was my birthday and I really enjoyed the meals. I had dumplings for the first time and loved it. The noodles, ducks, rice, and spring rolls were delicious. The portions were also large enough. I took leftovers home and froze them, then ate
Amazing - enormous vegan menu, everything was very nice but especially enjoyed the kung pao chicken and chicken drumsticks. Nice atmosphere too.
I ate here before going to see Pretty Woman. It was busy,so I sat on patio. The food was tasty and loved the sizzling skillets. I missed the pretty garnish on starters that were served previously. Great wine choices too.
Nice dim sum with many selection . Reasonable price but the portion slightly a bit small
Consistently good food. Service generally good, sometimes a bit slow at busy times but to be expected. Lovely atmosphere in the “extension” which is half in, half outside. Of note, an excellent gluten free menu with plenty of tasty options. Prices reasonable for the quality of food provided.
Possibly one of the best meals I’ve ever had in Birmimgham. Super super tasty with loads of vegan food and gluten free options!!
Came for a pre-birthday dinner with couple of friends. Had a very enjoyable evening! The food was authentic and delicious and so was the ambience. Word of advice- book your table in advance. Even on a week day we had to wait to get a seating!
Friendly and attentive service. We came for a late Friday lunchtime dim sum. The selection on offer is vast and cooked to order. The items that we ordered were pretty decent compared to some places we've been to in Chinatown in London especially given the 20% discount offered every day on dim sum it
Excellent meal here tonight after being to the theatre. We enjoyed set menu c for 3 people and had a lovely selection of dishes and plenty to eat. Quick, polite, friendly service and overall lovely meal out. Would definitely recommend and eat here again
