This is one of Edgbastons hidden gems boasting a surprisingly extensive menu, uncluttered informal layout perfect for small or large events and really welcoming friendly staff. True, communicating with staff can sometimes be challenging but hey, it's genuine italians serving genuine Italian dishes and the food speaks for itself! A particular highlight of the menu is their doughnuts (which should be illegal they are that good) and their fresh, handmade pizzas will have you coming back time and again!

I have been to Italy so many times with both business and leisure, and this lives up to every perception I have of what a warm well run Italian should be, in the UK with have the idea that you go to places for specific things ... so coffee and sandwiches in one place a pizza in another, fine dining in somewhere else, but the real family place you should be able to satisfy breakfast dinner tea and supper, and anything inbetween, simply because they are hosts who can cook and are bloody good at it, well we have somewhere like that here now.

Amazing Italian.. fabulous dinner menu...sumptuous I think its how I would describe our main courses. So I went back for coffee and pistachio donuts for breakfast. Excellent find xx

Fantastico! Seriously can't wait to move to Brum! Sale going through on the JQ. A top spot you have here! Great buzz around the place. Full of laughter and satisfaction! Top ingredients, brilliant flavours and great service.

Food overall was pretty good and tasty, only gripe is the portion sizes are very small, especially the sharing portions, pictured above. Service was really good, friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about the dishes. Atmosphere is nice and would be better but I had the unlucky experience of going at the same time with tons of screaming kids, running around all over the place.

it opens at 10:00 but you can order the lunch menus only after 12:00, before that you can only have sandwiches and drinks. arrived 11:30 and waited for the kitchen to operate while having americano(very strong so had to add milk) enjoyed the pasta very much but cheese on the pizza felt a bit stiff to me.

Been here a month ago. Was informed only seafood menus will be available which is absolutely perfect for a seafood lover! Overall food was good and worth the price. The only drawback is the fact that 99% of seafood we were having that night were raw. I will definitely give it a 5 stars if I ate something different. Not to mention it might enhance the flavour of the seafood too!

The food was really good and perfectly cooked! The servings were on the small side, however, even for the full size plates - which is why I’m giving 4*. Overall the service was incredible and the ambience was so romantic. The best dish was definitely the rabbit ravioli, the truffle sauce was so balanced without being too mild or overpowering. The other dishes we tried were pretty good too, but definitely not as outstanding as the rabbit.

Charming little restaurant. Walked past it last week and decided to try it. Small menu with fresh, quality authentic dishes. Would love to come again when it’s warm to sit outside. Spaghetti and monkfish were delicious. We had a wonderful evening. Staff were attentive and friendly.

Its place with natural charm and its so hard to find these days with all these chain restaurants around. Seems its run by family with good values and food recipes. Simple but lovely atmosphere, large menu and its changes often apparently depending what fresh ingredients they can get in. Service was excellent. A must try !
