Edward tea house is a must if you are in Birmingham art museum. English tea and scones is one of the most traditional from British cuisine. They served tea in teapots and scones with strawberry jam and butter. Only one thing was missing was more traditional printed English tea cups and saucers . Price was 7 pounds for four Mini scones with one tea pot. Decor was beautiful . I was there yesterday on Friday at 1:00 pm and it was fully occupied.

Stumbled across this place by mistake, walking through the museum into a fantastic room. We enjoyed tea, coffee, cake.. the menu looked interesting, and the food being served looked good.. although my Dad and I only had tea and cake.. the staff we helpful and friendly and the atmosphere was relaxed.

Had afternoon tea for one but there was plenty enough for 2 people. 6 different sandwiches, 4 mini scones with large pots of jam and clotted cream, 4 mini cakes and a cappuccino. And 10% off on Tuesdays so that was a nice surprise! It's always a pleasure to eat there. The staff were a bit slow clearing some of the tables though.

Lovely place to relax and enjoy scrumptious cakes and tea, staff very polite, environment delightful, always stop there first, if I run out of time I can catch up on shopping online but mustn't run out of time for tea

So atmospheric! Lovely decorations up for Christmas but even without them the Tea Room is beautifully presented. The staff are friendly courteous and helpful. Service was quite fast and the food was presented well and was really delicious. I always look forward to a return visit.

Beautifully decorated atmosphere with efficient service. This hidden gem is perfect for a relaxed tea time after a day of exploring the city, though note that it closes quite early at 16:30. Soup offered here is tasty and is definitely a bang for your buck.

Took my daughter to see an exhibition to be honest I can’t remember what it was but I was intrigued. The process of buying tickets online and the set up inside was impressive. It was nice to get a bit cultured so to speak and I’d like to go back again for future presentations. Ideally situated within the heart of the city with transport links giving easy access you can’t complain. Definitely a nice place and would recommend to visit if you have the chance

Closed for refurbishment but Victorian Radicals exhibit (paid) is open. Very informative on the Pre-Raphael’s and arts and crafts movement.

The .ain museum is under reconstruction as if writing. However there was a pre Raphaelite exhibition which was really good and well worth the 11ukp enterence fee.

What fantastic afternoon, we spent there! Beautiful building, inside and out! Lots to see especially this week as it's half term. Saw stuff they were showing the children that were part of my childhood😁 my kids were bright eyed over the exhibits and were interested to see and hear what the staff was explaining to them. The cafe was absolutely beautiful, and tastefully furnished. The whole place was a joy to go through and the kids enjoyed it as much as me!😊there was lots of exhibits to see and some to interact with, they also had a room for the kids to play in. The staff were fantastic and enthusiastic! Thanks for a brill day!😀

The museum is currently closed for "essential infrastructure works", so don't be caught out by Google Maps saying it's open..

Can't wait to come back to see the completed renovation. The wilded front steps around the fountain were stunning. The exhibitions that were open were a great incite into the city's varied and colourful past.

I always enjoy visiting this museum. Unfortunately it is undergoing substantial renovations at present and so only a couple of galleries ok Plus gift shop and Edwardian Tea rooms are open Having said that, it is still worth visiting since there are some interesting exhibits to inspect. I found the short animated film Child of Empire to be most interesting and moving. There is also an interesting exhibition about cinemas in Birmingham which could well bring back memories. The museum will close in December 2022 and will not open again until 2024 when it is intended to have all of the galleries open

It looks like a very beautiful building, unfortunately we haven't been able to get inside yet. But you can look at the building too, it's quite beautiful, it's a pity that the works block some of the views.

This museum was massive! The building itself is beautiful and inside there is so much to explore. Art and photography from beautiful to confusing to fun. If you like art there's bound to be something here you'll enjoy. I had a great time and would definitely come back again as I didn't have enough time to explore it all.

This was a fascinating museum to visit, displaying much cultural artwork and pieces related to Birmingham! There are exhibits focusing on certain city aspects like clubbing, racism and film; the third was the most interesting with its section Wonderland. A special addition is the old cinema seats that visitors are invited to sit in, also a separate corridor shows museum objects from over time!

Didn't really go in here for the art work I'm sorry to all the artists! I wanted to see the building and it's architecture, the floors walls and roof. See how real buildings were built back in the day as you can see all around.... All these modern pop ups. ITS ALSO FREE! So get yourself down and take a look.
