We haven’t make any booking for dinner, we just walked in, it was full. Luckily there’s a table for two next to the window and to the bar. The wait was polite and helpful.
After they offered us a seat, we ordered some drinks and papadum. The papadum came with four dipping sauce which was great. We also want to try something special, so we tried “Mum’s Special” and Kadha King prawns, with the Garlic Nann. As the name “ Mum’s Special “ it got a secret recipe from owners mother, which bring a special taste and also HOT! It taste nice!
The King Prawn and the curry was great.I I like it , I would like to try some other dishes next time. It was good potion of food and value for money .

Hard to believe how far places have come in Stirchley out of everywhere in Birmingham, producing great up and coming restaurants, bars, cafes etc.
This is another one to add to the list.
The place looks great, a staple of modern luxury.
Service was on point, having staff tend to your needs with professional mannerisms.
It didn't take long for the food to come and it was on point.
We were completely stuffed and the prices are reasonable when you actually step back and see what you get as opposed to the same in the city centre.

Genuinely one of the richest and tastiest curries I've had, without being overly spicy/ hot. They have a lot of dishes that I've not seen before too. Will definitely return to try the rest.
Amazing food and friendly staff. We've now changed from our regular place to the Kolkata Lounge. I've also recommended to my family and friends and have booked to take my family there Friday. (We usually go out for a meal the day before we go on holiday) and it will be Kolkata Lounge from now on. We also had a takeaway from there last weekend and that was just as nice, with a discount if you collect.

The more Indian restaurants I go to the more I like this one. Mum's special is just beautiful and I love the staff. I also like that you can try a lot of dishes by doing the combination option. They are consistent in quality and taste. My favourite for sure!
Very busy so it got a bit too noisy and had a bit of a long wait for food but was an evening catching up with friends not seen in a while so it was welcome not to be rushed. Overall food was really good quality and flavoursome. Service was exceptional - friendly, attentive and jolly! Would recommend and return.
The ambience was amazing! Food portion was decent quantity, tastes really good with close to flavours from India. Definitely recommend this place if you’re around in the area. Staff are very friendly and help you choose food if confused about the menu. They have a nice drinks menu. Good place to visit with friends or family.
This is a gem of a place in Stirchley. The setting is so pretty with its fish tanks and bubble wall. The bar looks fab with its changing neon surround. The food was delicious and offers a combo curry where you select two different curries to have. I had glass envy that some Indian beer was presnted in. The manager was charming and the service excellent. Definitely a return visit on the cards.
Really lovely time enjoying a family birthday. We all found the food to be very tasty (my favourite was the Butter Chicken) and each dish uniquely flavoursome. (Oh dear - I didn't mean to sound like some kind of restaurant-review-made-by-AI). Service perfectly good and place was very popular too. Our party of 8 were well satisfied for under £20 a person.
