Had lunch there and it certainly did not disappoint! we had the xl salmon and chicken meal and everything on the plate was on point. We waited about 20 mins for our food but I didn't mind at all as they cooked the meat fresh it hadn't been sitting there like other Caribbean food shops. Will make it a regular spot to eat I think!

I have heard so many great reviews about this place and I guess my expectations were really high. The service is good, welcoming and smiles for the most part. The decor is very bland and could do with some updating. The seats were nice and comfortable. Outdoor seating was available and would be very nice on warm day. Drinks were really nice, I enjoyed the cocktails and the mocktail mojitos were really good. We had the following: Tempura prawns - fine, basic tasted like the ones I get from Iceland Chicken wings - quite nice, small, but a good portion Ackee dumpling - tasty, dumpling a little tough but ackee was good- I like when I see more ackee than saltfish which I did. Jerk chicken - was OK and had nice flavour Curry goat - my friends enjoyed this, I thought it was OK.. Jerk lamb - I found this quite disappointing, it was overcooked and so not as soft as I usually like my lamb, it could eat and I did. Mac and cheese - now this was the winner for me, it was extremely good, plenty of cheese and seasoned well, one of the best mac and cheeses I have had at a restaurant. Plantain- as I like it, nice and ripe. All the food was well presented and looks amazing. There were some things they didn't have which is always disappointing, however overall it is a nice atmosphere with nice food. I Would go again and try something different.

The food was amazing. The service was great, and the atmosphere was relaxing. First, the restaurant was very clean and approximately a 5 min walk from Broad Street. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. We had a young lady as a waitress who was kind, articulate, very helpful and lovely 😍. The food didn't take long at all and was hot on arrival. Originally from New York and this has been the best West Indian food I have had in a long time and definitely best in uk. Yes meal was about the price of a trip to Dunns River falls, but worth it. I will be going again.

This was my 3rd visit, and again, the food was amazing👌🏾 the service was also on point. We went for lunch, but my previous visits were both during the evening, however, due to the restaurant being bright and clear with daylight. You could clearly see the repair work needed on the ceiling and walls and condition of the padded seats, which need replacing. I was disappointed because the restaurant, despite the excellent quality of food; has been neglected & needs investing. I would love to see the decor and furniture updated (changing the takeaway polystyrene boxes to labled food boxes with labled bag)to give a more luxurious feel to match the service and food offered, so the customer has a full experience.

The food is very tasty, the chef did an excellent job. The waitress was quite friendly. Ambiance is great. Very busy place which speaks volume. Keep up the great work. I would definitely recommend this place

Great food. My favourite Jamaican restaurant. I can’t complain about the food. But the service could be better, like the waiting time etc.

What can I say? I'd been itching to sample the jerk salmon after booking a family gathering and it didn't disappoint. The lamb and curry goat went down a treat too. Food was served piping hot and the portions were a decent size. In fact my mum took home a "doggy bag" wrapped in the traditional cling film as she couldn't finish her dish. The service was great and they managed to seat us on adjoining tables which was very much appreciated. A few were late but they accommodated us all and made sure we got our dishes relatively close together. The deserts were lovely with the apple crumble taking the favourites title and chocolate brownie not far behind. I recommend a visit to anyone who wants to sample well presented & cooked Caribbean food as I feel it's on another level and it's a nice chilled atmosphere. There is a carpark five minutes away which I recommend using as it's residential parking around the restaurant and you will get issued a ticket if you park outside someone's house. Just be aware you'll need to download the RingGo app to pay for your stay.

Great vibe and atmosphere in this place. Very nice staff there. Food was really nice my favourite is the sweet chilli wings (starter dish). They have very nice cocktails here! Would definitely recommend and would go back. A little pricey.

Amazing service everytime I've been, and the atmosphere and food were great also. Defo recommend friends and family to go at least once.

Exceptional customer service! It's a shame they don't take large bookings as I would loved to have returned with my family and friends to celebrate both my 50th and my son's 21st next month. However, my daughter enjoyed her birthday celebrations. Thanks for a memorable evening.

Amazing first experince for myself, food was nice and portion size was big. Its ashame i never had enough time to fully enjoy it. Atmosphere and vibes 10/10 staff were very friendly and respectful . The only issue was x1 order was slightly wrong. We highlighted this as a learning curve rather than criticism but definitely we'd go back when we can, to spend more time in Birmingham the train strikes impacted this. Thank you very much. 😃
