Had a lovely evening here last night with a group of 8 friends. We all had different meals and everyone said how good their food was. Nice atmosphere and great food, would highly recommend and will definitely return.

I took my little one for a meal here as she fancied a "pub meal". We are newly local so we thought we would try out the Red Lion and see what's happening.
The pub is very nice inside, with great staff and the revellers were friendly too. Very good atmosphere as other families were seated having their meals.
Very family and children friendly. My little one hand a burger and chips meal and I opted for the mixed grill. We both simultaneously said to each other how nice the chips were. (Best I've had in a pub!!!!) The mixed grill was unreal, thoroughly enjoyed it. Little one loved her food.
Would recommend this place any day of the week!!!

I’ve been a fair few times now and it’s good and consistent. This review is based on my last visit.
Whoever cooked my deluxe burger with extra bacon and cheese deserves all the good in the world - it was the best pub burger I have ever had.
It was everything is should have been and more.
5* across the board for that alone.
Special mention to the guy working on the day (can’t remember now if this was Monday or Tuesday gone) but he was great and cracking banter despite looking very busy.
Lastly, need better veggie options!
Had another fantastic pub lunch at the Red Lion today ! I usually come with friends at least once a week , either for food or just a drink . It is consistently excellent value , but even more importantly, the service and the warm welcome is second to none . And the food is lovely !
The staff are warm and friendly and always have a smile and a hello.
I have to give special mentions to Sharelle, Kerry, April , Ashley and Phil as well as the lovely people who serve the food . You all make it a pleasure to visit !

1st time back after refurbishment. Place seemed a lot brighter and bigger. 4 ales on pumps, Tribute ale was tasty and well kept. Had Katsu Chicken burger (thanks for 50% off voucher), which was delicious and well presented. Will definitely be back soon.
Very good service, nice atmosphere, friendly staff. Only downside is the choice of ales. Julie was very pleasant and cleared the tables very quickly.
Nice friendly pub however slightly disappointed by the Sunday turkey roast, meat was nice and not dry however the roast potatoes were clearly aunt Bessie’s which is fine if I was at home, the mash that was paid extra for was clearly instant mash, I know it’s a pub and I’m not asking for a gourmet meal however potatoes are not that hard to make fresh! and just wish there was more gravy which I did ask more for, not to sure if I’d try again!
Popped in for a light lunch when my son and Baby granddaughter came for the weekend.

The pub is well presented, clean and comfortable. Recent redecorations still looking good and staff very friendly. Food was delicious and arrived in good time. It was fairly quiet on our visit but ambience was nice. Definitely revisit soon.
Had a takeaway.. my daughter had gammon and trimmings, she enjoyed it but wasn't keen on pineapple which was a bit hard, I had a Sunday roast which was really good.. bit slightly baffled why there was no potatoes? Still enjoyed it none the less.
