This was a fantastic pub to go drinking at, with a stylish, classic design! I appreciated how plenty of decorations are themed around trains, the entrance is suitable and the bar is well-presented. The staff were friendly and I had a sweet strawberry cocktail at a reasonable price, situated at a clean table on curved leather seating!

Good pub grub and a great atmosphere. I haven't tried a lot of the menu, but everything I have was very good and a reasonably priced City Centre pub. Still has that good old 'Pub' vibe and the venue itself is very spacious. An absolute must if you're stuck waiting for a train but don't want to pay an arm and a leg for a coffee in the hustle and bustle of the train station.

my favourite pub in Birmingham. the staff go out of their way to make sure its a good evening. I recently had some issues, and the manager went out of her way to make sure everything was resolved. such a lovely lady. always good music and cheap drinks. 10/10

Some good things happens accidentally, and that's how we found this place. We were simply running from the rain and end up here as our first choice for food have been closed for renovation.
We took meal deal (two main dishes for 9 pounds), machos nachos and beer. Sausages with potato mash was something simple, fish and chips quite good. Nachos snack was something really interesting, we liked it a lot.
Overally, food was simple, decent food. Price of beer friendly and service have been fast (the place at that time haven't been busy).

Great stopping place post-station arrival. We only dropped in for a pint but ended staying for four hours :)

A nice place came across while walking. Seating available, choice of draught drinks and spirits etc. Has a Wetherspoons type menu as well. Seems ideal for a quick drink or even a meal.

Natasha at The Railway was so pleasant and helpful to us, remembering our order when we came back to the bar and very accommodating to our needs. Natasha pulls a good pint - superb pints of Peroni were had all day!

I was in here a few weeks back and we order a fish and chips, a garlic crispy chicken and a classic beef burger. It wasn’t up to par. I was very reluctant to try food here again, but I’m happy I did yesterday as you can’t beat a bit of pub grub after work. After yesterday’s re-trial I’m happy to be here again after work. What a vast improvement in the kitchen and I will be bringing the office again very soon.

My girlfriend and I arrived Wednesday morning before we started our long coach trip back to wales and we needed something mean and satisfying! But we just missed breakfast! However, the young lady behind the bar was very welcoming and friendly. She explained that they do an all day breakfast on the new menu. The place had a good ambience and was clean and well presented. We ordered food and I tried a great new beer. Food arrived in good time, the food was clearly cooked fresh. The value for money on the all day breakfast and veggie all day breakfast was great. We realised our chips were missing and the waitress/bar lady apologised and got them strate to us. Overall I was pleased and will definately eat there again without fail on our next trip to Birmingham, if I lived locally I would eat there regularly. Great Food, nice atmosphere and the one staff member we encountered was friendly.

Watched all of England’s World Cup 2018 Games here in The Railway, we had a great time. None of that beer throwing nonsense, bar staff was sound throughout the tournament, decent pint of Guinness with average prices. #itscominghome just not yet. 🏴

Breakfast was terrible. Sausage looked like they had been cooked for hours dry and tasteless I asked for scrambled egg and it looked like it had been mashed up with a fork. Missing a mushroom and was served Luke warm. No one even approched us to ask if everything was okay with our breakfasts ... will not be eating here again and would not recommend. Go to McDonald's

We arranged to meet a friend from Leicester in The Railway yesterday for a quick drink & loved it, so much so that 5 drinks later we were still there, so much for the quick drink haha, a nice friendly atmosphere, & felt at home, very friendly bar staff with a special mention for the young west indian lady ( I think) who served with a smile & a joke.

Food not up to standard very bland all dry through being microwaved, tables dirty, empty glasses all over, waiting for service at bar no staff there, not even busy, being approached in bar by beggar asking to buy a drink for him, didn't get told to leave, we had to tell him, not inpressed, should be of a better standard.

Nice glass of wine and a pint , unfortunately we picked a bad time to visit as a very rowdy baby shower on and an awful mess all over the 3 bars not the Railway s fault we still enjoyed our drink .

We were a group of non-UK-citizens, so we couldn't get anything, because they neither accepted our national ID cards (with which we entered the UK) nor our EU driving licences (which look the same as the UK ones with the only difference that the letters in the European flag are not UK and with which we could hire a car and drive in the UK).
I don't understand why they expect us to have our passports when we're going to a pub in Europe.
