We stayed overnight here last Thursday/Friday. The building is full of character, with oak beams, uneven floors leaded glass etc. Things went wrong, but the staff were on the ball and sorted stuff out really quickly and with a smile. The burger I had was excellent, and the breakfast was too. If I could give this place 6 stars I would. As its the staff that make or break a place, and The Old Crown has fantastic staff.

First time at the Old Crown and fell in love , Obviously a very old building with lots of and character the staff were very friendly and helpful and the clientele seemed a nice friendly lot. I didn't eat but the menu is very good pub food and what I saw coming out looked delicious. I was drinking wine and the price was very reasonable ,cant wait to go back .

Oldie pub just as it should be, lovely bar staff, tasty home cooked food and a lovely vibe. Proper contractors pub with friendly locals. Cheap as chips and will 100% stay again in fact I went out of my way when I booked my second night.

A group of us went to the NYE event, couldn’t of wished for a better night... drinks were reasonable, loved the outside marquee, it was warm, really good music, seating and it wasn’t overcrowded. Thanks to all the staff for a great NYE!

Visited The Old Crown last night. It was a lovely, cosy place. We went for the Peaky Blinders Tour with Carl Chinn. The evening was very entertaining and the food(faggots, mash and peas) was fabulous!

Wonderful overnight stay, Spotless room and bathroom which was just a few doors away. Good choice of meals or bar snacks. Full English breakfast was very good. Could not fault any of the staff, would definitely stay here again...

I booked a Sunday lunch for 20 on a busy sunny post Birmingham half marathon bank holiday weekend (I know - rubbish timing 🙄) The pub team were great - accommodated allergies, a few last minute changes and the dreaded splitting of the bill. The food was lovely - the Baileys Cheesecake was amazing and it was a great atmosphere. Highly recommend and a big thank you to the two female staff who worked so hard to make it run so smoothly.

The oldest inn in Birmingham; 1368. Decent pint of Guinness. Not bad prices. Brilliant Tudor aesthetics. Very pretty pub. Actually, quite a big pub with a beer garden/events area. It's definitely worth a visit.

Great atmosphere and in a good location. I like they have kept the traditional pub feel but also with the outdoor space cater for all different events and have music on etc not tried the food but will maybe visit on a quieter time.

Beautiful place. Wouldn't like to be drunk with the bedroom floors though! Like being at sea. Only criticism really would be that they could do with some new mattresses. Apart from that, it was a beautiful place, lovely staff, really appreciated how the ancient features have been kept and highlighted rather than covered and "modernised" If you're expecting an early night though be warned! The walls and floors are not noise cancelling 👍

Cosy modern interior design to an extremely historic venue. Obviously renovated numerous times, but you can still sense the history. there are helpful info blurbs dotted around the building. On a separate but equally important note, the food was faultless... a statement I have never made in my 34 years of eating food.

We stayed last night as we were visiting Birmingham for a night to attend a music concert at the o2 Institute. The welcome we received was warm and friendly from the guy behind the bar and although they were clearly busy it didn't take long for us to be shown to our room. We upgraded to the Quadruple room last minute and I am so glad we did as it was gigantic as was the bathroom!! I had read previous reviews about the noise from outside (there are other venues close by and a busy main road) and I am glad I did as I think if I hadn't been expecting it I would have been shocked as it was definitely quite difficult to sleep and had we have had the children we would have had even less. The room was clean and the shower was lovely.. the tea making facilities were very welcomed in the morning to warm up as the room did get cold during the night due to the age of the building and old windows etc. I would definitely return as it's a great location for the Train station and Bullring.. would recommend.

Beautiful looking building, part containing the Pub with B&B rooms upstairs. Very nice back court garden area with option of street food stall if you wish to have a change from an interesting pub menu. Effective Very dog friendly that is unusual for a city pub. And wow, what a history for the place, being one of Birmingham's oldest buildings. It needs keeping and investing in by the city.

Clean and tidy, beer was also kept well. We went on a week day so it wasn't busy. But imagine it gets busy later on.
