What a treat it was ! I have had the best lamb chops at Channi's. The moment we got our starters it was clear that Channi's certainly live up to all the hype. From aroma to taste it was too good. Tried a number of things from Chicken seekh kebab, mutton seekh kebab, meat samosa, chicken pakoda. Mango lassi was really nice too. Chicken jalfrezi didn't disappoint either.
Easily the best Indian food in Birmingham, must try the new sizzling wings, a triumph, and Channi's classic lamb chops, tender and scrumptious, three thumbs up

Easily the best Asian restaurant food in the balti triangle. Nicest people and a beautiful fusion of Indian and Kenyan cuisine.
Easily the best Indian resturant in Birmingham..bit of a dive inside but don't let that put you off, you're in for a treat, believe me!!
Lovely and friendly place and beautiful cooked food. The chef is amazing and happy to accommodate any food requests to your liking the best dish I had was the chicken tikka masala with naan bread
I don't visit this restaurant enough even though I only live round the corner. The food was absolutely great as it always is. Not been in here for a well & as I walked in was greeted with a big smile & hand shake from the owner Channi. Need to start visiting on a regular basis.
Always an experience in this place, very homely feel! Food is always consistent and great entertainment
Good food prepared by chef, good atmosphere
Humble surroundings mask a true gift to the palate.
Service is slow. But Channi bhai cooks for you as if you are guests that have turned up after years and ensures time stands still for him to show his mastery and then sits down to have a chat as if he is done for the night just to be with you.
Unpretentious, gracious and a charming raconteur 😉 👍
Channis has the best keema curry I've ever er tasted highly recommend you give it a try
Went to Channi's with a group of friends last night Friday 28th . There were around 12 of us .. service was great ..food excellent nothing was to much to ask for we connected our phone to wi fi to play our own music through speakers. I last went to Channi's 15 years ago with a couple of same guys on this visit .. if you want freshly cooked food with grwat service then this i know you won't be disappointed. All in all it was great night we got there at 7 and left after 11.
Authentic Indian food! The best lamb chops I have ever tasted, excellent hospitality, will definitely be returning!
Such a real authentic place, cooked by a Channi himself a man who cooks with heart. The food has a subtle wholesome taste, the Makanni is superb, the lamb long cookedand the rice has dicate flavours. Its golden yellow wall and oak floor quietly places you somewhere else further east of Birmingham. You want to know an origin of the B triangle you may start here. The price is just right, and there is bar if you like to drink spirits.
Like many reviews, it's all about the food here, not the ambience. The place is still in a state of disrepair in places, though they have recently put a new floor down.
The prices are comparable with better quality establishments. The portions are small but full of flavour. We ordered takeaways if Tawa fish and tawa mushrooms which was tiny and not very good value at almost £10 each.
