Fantastic range from novice to expert games; from classic to new games. Great new menu of food and drinks. Mains and simple paninis available. Drinks range from soft drinks, milkshakes and cocktails. £5 for 3hours and then £1 per hour after to play games. But it is absolutely fine to go in just for food and drinks, which I recommend. Staff are wonderful and attentive.
Visited today for the first time. Had a great experience! So many games to choose from. We were recommended some and they were great.
We also had food and hot drinks which were tasty and reasonably priced.
Definitely worth booking as it was so busy in there, don’t think you could just turn up and expect a table.
Overall, would definitely recommend and return
Went here with my siblings - we all enjoy fun new board games.
There is a cover charge for playing the games which is £5 per adult for 3 hours and then an additional £1 for each hour afterwards.
3 hours is usually sufficient to play a couple of board games if you’re already familiar with the rules.
There is food available to order at an extra charge. We ordered drinks and fries. The fries were fresh and delicious. The service was great, smiles all round.
The toilets were clean.
One minor negative was that there was no baby changing unit so when my niece needed a change, I had to lay her changing mat on the bathroom floor.
Overall a fun experience, would definitely visit again.
Loved it here. The food is great they have a small burger and snacks menu but everything is freshly prepared on site. If you phone ahead in the morning they will even do vegan burgers for you in the evening. They have a great selection of games and nice big tables to play them at. The staff and owner are lovely, helpful and engaging. Have a look at their Facebook page because they often run events and special food menus.
Went to try out Star Wars Armada and have food. Amazing selection of games, even really recent titles! Really good food too! No rocket in the halloumi burger so a perfect evening. Very friendly staff.
I visited when this place was still Meeple Mayhem. It was a lovely board game cafe, with an amazing selection of games on offer to play. The food options were great too, although occasionally took a while to come out. This was fine though, as it was usually just the one staff member behind the counter also working in the kitchen.
Amazing board games and really helpful staff. Could do with a few more food choices, but the food they did have was really great.
Meeple Mayhem is so lovely to pop into, with a nice selection of food and drink offered and pretty low prices, and a wide selection of boardgames available, it's always a great visit! The food isn't cooked at great speed, as its normally just the one serving and cooking, but as long as you're not famished you hardly notice with time passing so quickly through playing! I'd best suggest visiting Monday to Thursday, as it's a much quieter night, and often can find it's just a small handful of gamers present!
Perfect low-cost family evening out, to try new board games or rediscover older ones. The burgers are pretty decent, too, and we rarely resist a slice of cake! And the herb tea selection is very nice. Also, they currently have a chess night every Friday.
We had a lovely afternoon at Meeple Mayhem. There are more than enough games to choose from, with a handy guide to help you pick one, and definitely a game for any flavour (party, co-op, strategy, card) and any ability.
Three hours was the perfect amount of time for the two of us to learn the rules for a new game and play a round of it. We even managed to get a few sneaky games of exploding kittens in at the end!
In terms of food and drink there is a large selection to choose from, I fully endorse the loose leaf fruit and herbal tea's! The spicy chips were also amazing!
I had a really great experience from the team at Meeple Mayhem. I had a Wowcher deal that was about to expire as I couldn't use it in time; however, they kindly allowed me to have the food as a takeaway instead. The staff were very friendly and the burgers and chips were really good actually, probably one of the better burgers we've had in a long time. I look forward to returning and actually playing some games here as the atmosphere was really nice and makes for a fun night out.
Welcoming board games cafe, bright and spacious, visited with sons 9 and 14. Game fan teenage son was very impressed with the range of games. Staff were really nice and helpful. Food was ok, one star off for that but we will definitely return and would recommend.
Good selection of games, reasonable price if you stay a while, decent coffee
Staff are great and are so friendly! I go every other week with friends and we always have an amazing time and the food is great! They have veggie and vegan options too. They sell coffee and various drinks, both alcoholic and non. They also have a wide selection of board games but you're always welcome to bring your own.
Lovely café! Lots of board games to choose from for all types of people. Easy to very complex. Nice place to munch and have a great time with family and friends. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Definitely a place to visit numerous times! 🎲
Really excellent cafe, spent a lovely evening playing a few board games with a range of people. It was lovely to be able to join in with other people to make up numbers! Everyone working there was really friendly and the food was amazing, I had a delicious burger with rosemary salted fries.
The choice of games is brilliant and the whole atmosphere is really open, welcoming and warming, very different to what one night normally expect from a gaming cafe. I will definitely some again!
Fabulous place with great burgers at reasonable prices . There was a huge selection of board games and card games to play. My only suggestion is that they shouldn't charge to play games if customer has bought food. At least not for the first 90 minutes. It makes a short stay for lunch very expensive. If we were staying several hours then fair enough, I would be happy to pay.
We went here as part our Buckt subscription. Lovely place, well spaced out. A wide variety of games. There is a game menu that breaks down games by type, players, and time to play, this makes finding games much easier. They.habe a car park if you go into the shop they will give you the key for it. The staff were really friendly and only too happy to help with game suggestions and helping to understand the rules.
I went here a while back and it was great. The Food was good, selection of games good and the tables/layout perfect for playing them. I think I even saw a 40k table there too.
I'm not a huge fan of board game cafes personally so I don't go often, but this is the best one I've been to so if it is your thing, definitely check it out.
