Excellent service, food at my table in less than 10 minutes & it was piping hot. Had a breakfast/brunch & they happily swapped out 2 items & gave me a choice of replacement. Food was excellent too

I never fail to be pleasantly surprised when I find a good meal in airports. It can be hit or miss finding something for every palate, and even more than that, something that won't cost you an arm and a leg that you could have prepared at home for dirt cheap (see: airport pub grub). With that said, when my coworkers and I arrived at the airport after a long day in Birmingham, only to find that our flight was MEGA delayed, we began looking for food in hopes of killing time and lifting our spirits. Giraffe, happily enough, was just the ticket.
The menu is surprisingly extensive, and for me the kicker was having more than the "FINE, here you go" one token veggie meal that some restaurants seem to provide so begrudgingly. In fact, all the veggie offerings sounded quite tempting, and were more than just your boring ol' risotto. The food arrived promptly and sure, it's still airport food, so don't expect Michelin Star presentation here. But it's colorful and hot and seems like it didn't come from a bag in the freezer, so there you go! My coworkers and I all agreed in the end that the offerings were pretty solid all around. (3/3 botanical gurus agree!)
Service was prompt and friendly. Food was quick and tasty. Atmosphere was about as good as it gets (re: airport). Cost was about what you'd expect: higher than you would normally pay out in your neck of the woods, but low enough that you don't feel positively robbed by the end. So there you have it, folks. If you're finding yourself with a grumbly tummy in the Birmingham airport, I reckon the Giraffe is worth a visit!
Very very pleasantly surprised. I know it's a massive chain owned by an even bigger chain in the form of Tescos, but they served me up a tasty meal. I had always wondered about what giraffe would be like. Brightly coloured and with a massive bistro style menu and I finally got to check it out this week whilst I waited for my flight home.
The service was super quick and friendly. Food wise I had a chicken Schnitzel with mash and it was lovely. The schnitzel was big and tasty, the mash was buttery and well seasoned. It really was a great plate of food. Pricing was ok to, not overly expensive as many menus usually are in airports as they have a captive audience.
All in a good experience and worth a visit if you have time to kill and are hungry while at the airport.
Great food, amazing ambiance, fast service, not very buzzy however that is the only downside.
Big bold n bright, that's the food and the decor. Giraffe is a most welcome addition to the departure gate at Birmingham a International. I had the Tunisian Roasted Veg & Feta Salad, £9.95, no complaints, fresh, hearty, flavourful n fast. Lovely service, not to fussy and they turn orders around fast. I sat at to bar, great if you're flying solo or if you need charging point, you can plug in both USB cables or standard plugs. A refreshing change from pub food n burgers, I'll be back.
Loveliest staff in an airport ever! It’s quite spacious and good range of food. Besides the burgers & pub food, I want something a bit more healthy so this is the only choice. I opted for the chicken katsu curry. The ambiance is nice. This is how the restaurant looks like half empty. The waiting time was about 20min for the food. The staff helped filling my water bottle for me. She even a few ice cubs in there which is such a nice touch.
Stopped here for breakfast before our flight to Amsterdam. Service was quick. Staff were friendly and asked if we had any allergies. The breakfast was fantastic. Although the scrambled eggs looked a bit runny they tasted fantastic. Really enjoyed the food. Will definitely eat there again.
Food was lovely - had the naked chicken burger with sweet potato fries. Service was quick by Antonio and professional . The fresh lemonade and mint was refreshing too.
We ordered the big English breakfast and the giraffe brekkie hash. Food was hot. The hash brown and mushrooms was a little over cooked . So 1 star lost for that but it Came super quick. Only down side is the breakfast doesn’t come with toast so you have to pay £3 extra for it. Service was good left us to it really. Would recommend as eaten here before with no problems :)

Giraffe - simply the best airport experience I have ever had !
You tend to pass through an airport in a hurry and do not actually get to settle down and relax - we had a choice of the neighbouring W’spoons or the tranquil environment of Giraffe - a look at the food made our minds up - but we had a few hours to pass before our flight - so we sat , chatted , watched and observed - heck this is a different experience -
Pauline the GM was totally inspiring - not to us but to her team -
We also asked who the people were who were sat behind us - it was the area team - and they were amazing treating all of the colleagues with total respect -
And then we watched , ate and drank a few coffees - and wow everyone was so friendly - and not just to us - but to their fellow colleagues - what a great place to work — which equals a great place to dine .
The food was fantastic - the service first class and the smiles we saw made it historic -
So please take a tip - do not follow the herd to WSpoons but enjoy a great experience . 100% -

Georgia was also an inspirational lady - the care and support she gave to her colleagues was warm and endearing - and most importantly genuine .
I should also mention that the food was firstly brought really swiftly - and was restaurant quality and not airport quality .
Great flavour - great freshness and top quality - these people care .

We was seated straight away and the food and drinks came fast, and it was delicious, 100% recommend.
Our waitress Nelia was wonderful, very attentive and a lovely lady. Food was delicious, I very much enjoyed my naked chicken burger.
Airports can be an arduous experience but please let Giraffe ease any anxiety

We ate here Saturday evening when our flight was delayed. The staff were really courteous and friendly. The food came super quick and everything tasted great. It’s not cheap, we paid £15.75 for a burger, but trusts airport prices.
