A very large old pub with very friendly staff and customers. On the beer side they had Doombar and Tribute on hand pump which are not favourites of mine and personally I would say are a biy similar so some variety would be nice. Really nice quiet pub. Limited menu but food is nice and cooked perfectly. We were served by Anne who is a lovely friendly lady. Nice old traditional decor and very clean too. I'd not been down for about 8 years so was surprised the little horse had gone but the beer garden is really nicely done no
Sadly, the pub wasn't busy on a Thursday lunchtime when we visited but the female bartender made us welcome. We had a burger (from a limited but popular menu) and a drink at a very reasonable price. The food (cooked by the bartender) was nicely cooked and tasted good.
Staff & management are always friendly. Great size function room for all occasions with doors opening onto the garden area with seating. It has a nice atmosphere & is always clean . I look forward to many more good night there. Marie.
Nice bar and great function room
Great selection of drinks, Neck Oil being my favourite. Dog friendly free doggy biscuits and water. Steve n Cath are very good at their bar jobs 👏
