Food was good. Server meant well but service quality could have been better.

Clean place, foods ok, the new menu is a lot worse than the old one and struggles with choices but it's cooked okay. Book in advance on Sundays.

Great value food. We ordered Sunday roasts and fish and chips. All lovely, big portions. Children's meal (larger one) was a bit small for our 9 year old, but the dessert made up for it! All the meals were missing something that was stated on the menu, eg tartare sauce, stuffing and carrot sticks, but the staff quickly dealt with this when we mentioned it.

Went to Horse Play the children's play zone with granddaughter for her friend's birthday. It was great. Safe but adventurous fun and good party food plus excellent staff who made it all the better. Very sad it is that the pub and play zone are closing to make way for yet another care home. Shame there can't be be a rethink for financial greed

Just had lunch with my husband & his two elderly aunties who are in their late 80's/early 90's. We all had wonderful meals. The two ladies had the meal deal & the portions were huge. We had meals & drinks for under £25 what a bargain! What's more we had entertainment too....first lots of old 60's songs & then a very good Elvis impersonator sang quite a few songs. Made the olden's very happy. Would recommend.. The service was excellent as was the friendliness of the staff. Will definitely come again.

I have eaten at The Wylde Green quite a lot recently. I was one of a party of 20 people celebrating in a Saturday evening and although the food was really good it took about 45 mins to be served. We were eating in small groups so there was no delay there. I had to ask twice for the children's puddings to be brought out. They were just really busy. My next visit was on a Wednesday lunch time at 12.15. I had enjoyed the ribs so much on the Saturday I ordered the same again but this time they looked very dried up and were extremely difficult to cut and almost impossible to chew. They were smothered in a thick layer of sauce. I rarely complain about food but couldn't eat this. It took me ages to find a waitress. I told her I couldn't eat my meal and she said 'was it the ribs' as if she knew. She came to my table and took the plate with the ribs on leaving me with the now cold fries and slaw (2 plates on a wooden platter). It took at least another 15 mins for my new ribs to come which I ate with my cold fries alone as the person I was with had finished their food. These ribs were delicious but the whole experience spoiled. I must say though that my experience of the food at The Wylde Green previous to the above has been very good.

Called in for lunch on Saturday 9th December with husband and 2 granddaughters. Only one person serving and place was not exceptionally busy. Food took a long time to come. No one came to check if everything was OK. Had to clear our table myself before ordering deserts. Food was not all that great. I chose from the festive menu. Carrots were inedible and included some peelings. The sprouts and roast potatoes were the only thing I ate and the butternut squash loaf. The children's meals were OK. Husband had fish and chips which were also just OK. Don't think I would go back.

Great service Staff couldn't do enough for us . Food usually great hear. Prices very reasonable, table was clean, nice atmosphere we could have a good conversation without noise & loud music. I've been here a few times & the new manager Sophie is doing a great job. Will definitely be back.

Visited Sunday 11/09/16 it was very busy with a few large tables booked in but staff were friendly and food arrived fast. Opted for Sunday dinner (big plate). Could have done with more roast potatoes but the meat slices were thick, hot and melt in your mouth. Prices are good and excellent selection of food and drink.

Don't usually rate hungry horse places but the food here is really good, quick service and the outside playground n soft play keeps little ones occupied. Definitely recommend for families with young kids. Good prices n special offers too 😊

We went on a Thursday afternoon but wasn't too busy, food was good but couldn't get the wheelchair under any table so my wife had to sit alongside to eat. Wheelchair access was good either through double doors or a ramp at the back of the property leading from the children's play area.
