Very disappointed, we went last year and the food and service was great. However this year service poor, in fact non existent we had to collect menus sat and waited to give order, gave up and went and ordered. Table left with empty plates on for 30 minutes, in fact 5 tables around us had left and the tables were left with dirty plates on for at least 20 minutes. Ordered the battered cod and chips and the batter was burnt, chips were luke warm. Certainly won't be rushing back which is a shame as it was so good previously.

Popped in for a quick snack before heading across the road to see a performance.
The service was slow and the food wasn’t the best.
Wife order a Fish finger sandwich, which turned out to be a very deep fried fillet of fish, it was too hard.
I had a BLT, it was okay, it was served with crisps and coleslaw, the coleslaw was very runny and purple.
We order a latte and half a beer, our food arrived before our drinks and when I asked if they we coming I was told, when they were ready I would get them, as it was busy.
Where we were sitting we could hear the crying of a small baby and what sounded like arguing from the kitchen.
My wife used the toilets and she was not impressed, stating that they were smelly and dirty.
Sorry, We won’t be back 🙁

Good food, but only 1 out of 4 items ordered were as ordered. 15 minutes wait from ordering to be told something was out of stock, bacon and tomato sandwich brought out instead of sausage and tomato, no mushroom on the the other. Food was good when it arrived but service seemed not quite on the ball. This was a quiet Saturday morning so not sure how it would fare if it was busy

Dashed in on the off chance to get out of the rain. Haven't been here since visiting the theatre years ago and can't recall it being anything special then, but today we were pleasantly surprised. The food and service were both very good. The Nasi Goreng was really tasty and enough to feed 2 and packed with beautifully cooked chicken and prawns. My partner's Pork curry was delicious too. Can't believe how empty the place was considering the quality of the food that we had. Appreciate it was late on a Friday afternoon, but it is the summer holidays. Would go back again.

Very cheesed off with this place now. We visited in early July, hoping to eat before seeing a show at the Hippodrome. Ordered in plenty of time and despite telling the staff we needed to be leaving in time for the show, we waited and waited . Eventually, as it came up to almost ONE HOUR after we had ordered, it become clear that we wouldn't make it in time, so told the staff we were going to have to give up on our food. We had already paid at the bar, on ordering, so my husband and the waitress went through the business of refunding our payment, by debit card. Despite the so-called refund, it has never appeared in his bank account. We have emailed, telephoned many, many times, lately telephoning almost daily. Each time we are told that the manager "will be in later", "will ring you back", "the manager is on holiday and will be in touch when he's back next week" - all sorts of excuses. We are still owed nearly £50 from a meal we never got because this place could not serve us within a reasonable amount of time. Expect a recorded delivery letter in the near future.

It was a very nice bar. The interior decoration was very homely. The service was really and the staff were really friendly and welcoming. I did not order food, just ordered a latte. I would definitely visit this bar again.

Great meet and greet, from there it went down hill. After placing the order and paying at the bar the waitress delivering our drinks, a pint and a large glass of wine, managed to throw them all over my wife! The waitress thought that this was quite funny! We asked to speak to the manager, we did get to speak to someone, no name or title given. They finally offered to dry my wife's dress and jacket with a hair dryer. As we were going to the theatre, smelling of dried beer and wine did not appeal at all. We asked for a number of pieces of information, none of which were forth coming. The website does not give all of the necessary information to make a complaint. I left my name and number and I have not heard a thing since. Extremely poor....avoid at all costs.

We chose this restaurant due to its location, but immediately regretted our choice. The food was poor, tasteless, served cold. A member of our group complained about a burnt burger which was returned to the kitchen. Soggy and tasteless quiche was served with cold fries. When we complained to the waitress about the standard of food, she clearly demonstrated that she couldn't care less. Overpriced and substandard!

In a land known for it's curries, The Green Room Cafe & Bar is one of the few Cafes in the City Centre, which provides a very relaxing and enjoyable experience.

Food: Had one of the best burgers in Birmingham here - Cajun Chicken Burger along with a Hot Chocolate (surprising choice, given the heat but yeah.. went ahead with it anyways). The menu also has several other delicacies to try from. The food overall is good, nothing exceptional but would top the Cafe Food category.

Service: Awesome! The staff were very friendly and also were open to just having a casual conversation. They ensure that the atmosphere is very chilled out.

Ambience: Liked the ambience as well. They have enough space to sit just outside the cafe if you want to enjoy the summer or you could sit on the comfortable sofas inside.

Overall, I would give it a 4.5
