Highfield Fish Bar

This is a small fish and chip shop with great quality food . Recently I found out that every night when closing the staff give leftover food away to the homeless in the area . In fact the homeless wait outside and the staff count how many people are there (not many between 3-10 approximately) then they make up the correct amount of meals for everyone to have . The night I was there talking to a friend and noticed what was going on a fresh batch of chips was made so everyone had chips to accompany whatever else was there from chicken, kebabs, fish etc . What a great shop , support this local shop and help feed the homeless

Aw man easily one of the best chippies around Staff are extremely friendly, always with a smile Chips are fresh, fish is flaky and crispy, doner meat is juicy and the portion sizes are quite generous too Spring rolls are nice, scallops are huge and crispy golden, sausage roll is nice, chicken doner is nice too Just overall a great time when eating at Highfield I do knock points off for the chilli sauce though, easily the worst item on the menu. It's just spicy and that's it. I never order it as it ruins the flavor of the rest of the dish Other than that, 5/5 a must try
