Vinotecca

Overall, I enjoyed dinner at Vinotecca. We sat outside, which was great since it was such a nice day outside. Our waiter was very nice and knowledgeable about their offerings. We ordered the Michigan baked brie as an app, the Kona Coffee Rubbed Filet, the Rotisserie Chicken, and a bottle of red. Everything was great, except the baked brie really didn't add to the meal (hence the 4 stars), but the potato gratin that came with the filet was exceptional. Overall, I'd definitely go back.

Really liked this place, nice ambiance outside with the Moroccan lights. Had a delicious white chocolat waffle. Went again in December - the most amazing baked Brie with maple cashews and fig jam. Also a really nice chicken satay though the sauce on the side seemed unnecessary as there was already plenty of peanut sauce on the kebabs. The service did seem a little off though, the hostess told us 20 minute wait because of two weddings in the back but then offered us a seat at the bar when we said we were in a hurry. The bartender was very efficient and taking care of us, but two couples nearby said they had been waiting for ages for tables and no one came by to check on them.

My husband and I wanted to try something new for our 7 year anniversary. We never go out in Birmingham and Vinotecca was recommended to us by a friend. We had an amazing experience. We made a reservation for the patio, but it had been rainy that day so their patio space was cut in half. We had to be seated inside. Within 3 mins of being seated, a staff member came to us and said a spot opened up outside and it’s ours! The covered patio space is great: beautiful, breezy, fun. Our waiter was Eddie and he was FANTASTIC. He made our experience even more enjoyable. Great atmosphere, great food, great drinks. Would definitely recommend can wait to come back.

This place was really nice from the outside and inside. The hostess was really nice as well. The drinks and the food were both pretty good too. What really made my experience here though is a waiter named *Eddy*. The restaurant was really busy which is understandable but we had a bartender that basically ignored us when we asked for food. We asked Eddy to order food and explained what happened. He took care of us beyond any means. I’ve never been taken care of so well in my life. He made sure we were his main priority of the night. He continuously checked up on us. Brought us amazingly made drinks on the house. The food was supposed to take a while to come but Eddy took care of that too and the food came out in 15 minutes. To top it all off Eddy asked a wine expert (John) to get us two free glasses of “dessert wine” and it was two glasses of $500 bottle of wine. Before having the wine John explained the entire process of how this wine is made, so nice!!! By far the best experience ever because of the service in this joint. Thank you so so much Eddy for an amazing night.
