Review Chattan Tea Room - Birnam

Anne Harvey-chisholm
First time visit whilst having a wee walk through Birnam, its The Post Office, wee shop and the tea room. Very busy inside and outside on a sunny autumn morning, very popular with locals, cyclists and visitors like us. Friendly welcome from staff, order taken, 2 coffee's a cheese and ham toastie and a cheese and ham panini, one with crips the other with a tasty coleslaw and salad. We sat outside, its a luvly wee place, to sit at and njoy your food etc. We njoyed tasty cappuccinos with a frothy chocolate topping and our sandwiches. Enjoyed our visit, would recommend a visit if visiting the area. Birnam is a luvly wee place to visit, Beatrix Potter Exhibition, a luvly walk to visit the Birnam Oak, cross the Dunkeld Bridge over the River Tay beautiful views. :)

Stopped in for a quick bite while road tripping. The coffee was good, and the croissant sandwich was stuffed full of delicious cheese! The shop has cute little gifts, too. Great little place to stop if you're in the area!

Small tearoom/cafe, post office and shop with indoor/outdoor seating. Takeaway available. Not expensive. Small free car-parking area in front, plus plenty of free on street parking available. Would recommend. 😊

Food was good. The cafe was busy at the time, so service felt rushed and they couldn't wait for me to leave to sit the next people at my table (literally sitting people at my table as I was still getting my things together)... I wasn't exactly hanging around either. But I would eat here again.

Local Post Office with Chattan occupying the other half of the premises. Unpretentious meeting place in tight but not. crowded surroundings.

We where just walking by the river and one of the locals stopped for a chat and recommended this place. Lovely little place with freindly staff and a good menu selection, it's always pleasing to get proper loose leaf tea. Loving the home baking and in house Jam making.
