Nice village pub to pop into on route to the lake or just passing through, has the feel of a friendly local pub , I only had a beer but looks good for pub games like skittles and darts . The food isn't all day so cant comment on that. It was a weekday afternoon so very quiet with 4 locals and the barman. Lots of parking spaces too.

Found this delightful, family friendly pub by random on Mother’s Day 2023. The owners greeted us with a big smile on their face. A busy Sunday lunch service, yet their service was impeccable. Best chips we’ve ever had! Please order these. Sunday roast was great too. Slow cooked until the meat melts. It was a lovely dining experience for us.

Fabulous pub and definitely worth a visit. We were staying close by in our Motorhome and had dinner there both nights. Superb food, curry night on Wednesday was excellent. Great village atmosphere, locals really friendly and landlord the best. Thank you for a great couple of evenings.

Visited today for Sunday lunch. Myself,partner,mum and dog 🐕 Wow what a good find. The landlord and Landlady are lovely as well as the young waitress made us feel so welcome. We had the roast beef x 2 and the Lamb. It was all beautifully cooked and melted in your mouth. Our mains came out first followed by a big dish of veg and cauli cheese. Loads of delicious flavours and all piping hot. We were so full we couldn't manage a pud. Will definitely be back excellent food at a very good price 10 out of 10

Brilliant brilliant pub! Man and woman begins the bar (assumed they were the owners) and the chef were all so friendly and accommodating even when 35 of us Londoners descended after a fairly chilly walk in January. Great vibes, best chips we've ever had, quick service, 10/10 would go again! Made our weekend to be honest so thank you Red Lion! 👑

fantastic pub,landlord was brilliant i took a minibus of people in here staff were brilliant very welcoming .Being the driver i could not drink alcohol but the landlord made me a couple of cups of tea and then introduced me to the alcohol free thatchers ,excellent keep up the good work 👏

Went to The Red Lion from recommendations from the caravan site we were staying at . Had a friendly warm welcome as soon as we entered the premises We had the most amazing Sunday roast dinner , with great service from the staff . We travel all over in our caravan and eat in many public houses. And by far this is the best Sunday roast dinner we have had . If your out this way try it out you will not be disappointed. Thanks to all the Staff at The Red Lion we will be back .

Had a lovely day in the garden. The atmosphere inside is really cosy and the landlord and staff and very welcoming. We had a couple of bowls and roast potatoes and gravy as a snake and I have to say the gravy was the best I've ever tasted definitely going to a Sunday roast

My other half and I ate one of the specials, moules marinere with tagliatelle which was absolutely delicious. The hospitality was very welcoming especially towards the children, we will definitely be back �
