Fantastic little restaurant! The service is utterly impeccable compared to anything you will find in this town. Even when we just go in for a drink we are made to feel like nothing is a problem and very very welcome. Food is very nice as well.

Great food at reasonable prices. My daughter & son took me there for my birthday and her boyfriends birthday. We had four different meals and everyone enjoyed every bit put before us. The staff were polite & courteous. I will be going back again.

5 stars. Always. This is THE place to come for a nice dinner with the family, friends or your significant other. The quality of the food is outstanding. There's plenty of it too. Definitely not a cheap place but it's well worth treating yourself every now and then. I love this place.

Amazing and very friendly. As a single man travelling to and from work I just wanted some tapas and a cider. Very informal. Loved the starters as tapas and amazingly good prices when the town is full off london workers. Top thumbs and bums to you guys

Genuinely outstanding Turkish food. Without a doubt some of the best I've eaten. Service is a weakness, such as a 40 minute wait for a table despite booking over a week in advance - hence 4 stars instead of 5. Prices quite high but then so is the quality, and the portions are generous. Table magician a novelty, but equally odd.

Went here for the first time and will definitely be back great atmosphere, friendly staff and great service. The food was lovely totally enjoyed it couldn't find fault in any of it, the cocktails are great to and definitely recommend the Gourmet Turk Cocktail it was lush.
Had a lovely evening and will definitely be going back and would recommend to everyone. 10/10 for sure xx

Overall we a had a great evening with friends and our starters were good. However 5 of the 6 main Courses were more or less cold, food looked thrown together rice was lumped together on one of the meals. We did receive a small discount off of bill of over £200. Shame because there was a really good singer and staff are really friendly. We enjoyed really good food here when the restaurant first opened very disappointed and will not eat here again and unfortunately would not recommend.

Really disappointed with our visit to the Gourmet Turk last Saturday night. I can’t fault the food which was 5* the problem was with the service or lack of it. On our arrival we were not shown properly to our table, not given a menu and not asked what we wanted to drink. It took over 30 minutes for drinks to be served, we had to ask for water to be brought to the table too at this point,and then our menu choices taken. When the food arrived it was delicious but again towards the end of our main course a member of staff tried to remove plates whilst one of our party was still eating! This is a big no no.
We did express our disappointment to one of the staff and were offered free shots which most of us refused.
Hopefully this was a one off experience as we have visited here on previous occasions and had a much better experience.

Service was very poor, I wasn't happy about a dish I had ordered, I complained twice and only on the third time was I told there was nothing wrong with the dish RUDE!! Came away hungry and disappointed that what seemed like a lovely restaurant had such bad mannered staff. Would not recommend.

Came out for a meal with my friends tonight to have a meal and a catch up, only to find a singer in the restaurant, who was so loud that we could no longer hear ourselves. We asked on 3 occasions for the volume to be turned down and it was ignored.
To make matters worse, at 9:30pm, the front of house guy got on the mic and started joking around trying to mc. The volume increased and then the restaurant filled with youngsters grinding and screaming!
I complained and the manager just said it happens every week and not to come on Fridays and Sundays if I didn’t like it! To which I replied......what do you want to be a nightclub or a restaurant.....you can’t be both!
To make matters worse, the service was appalling.....trying to get a drink was impossible!!
I won’t be returning!

The 2 front of house staff came down the street when we left to try and entice us back offering wine, prosecco etc to try and rectify the situation, they clearly knew they had conducted the business tonight in an inappropriate manner

The restaurant is in a listed building and the decor and layout is great, we were a party of 10 and in a semi private room up stairs. The food was lovely and the staff are very attentive but not constantly in your face while you're trying to eat. Would definitely recommend and look forward to going there again.

Service was perfect, staff couldn't have done more or been more attentive. Food was superb (hot meze starter and special mains). Drinks were flowing (porn star is a must!). Place was buzzing all night and the whole experience was fabulous! Thank you Gourmet Turk ... I'll be back! 10/10

The food was lovely although we waited a while to have our order taken. Staff were very friendly and polite and nothing was too much trouble. I recommend the seating area out side and a very large Porn Star Martini. X
