Review Cockhaven Arms - Bishopsteignton

We hadn't visited for many years but decided to call in for lunch. The changes made by the new owners to the rooms and decor are quite different and definitely an upgrade. As well as the main menu there is a £8 set price lunch from which we chose, I had the scampi and my wife the seared salmon. Both were of adequate size and very good. Two local real ales were available. Service was excellent. We will definitely return.

Absolutely great place to visit. Whether you eat or drink the reception you get from the staff is beyond belief. They don't treat you as a customer but more as a friend. Great choice of ales & wines & the food is exceptional. Don't take my word give it a go you won't be dissapointed

This place was awesome. We stayed 2 nights last week. The value for money is amazing, food, drink and service was just a credit to everyone who worked there. This is a brilliant chain of eateries and will certainly return when down that way again.

The Cockhaven Arms has a lovely atmosphere. There are different seating areas where you can be in the hub of things by the bar or if you prefer there are quieter areas. The food is amazing we had all of our meals there. The breakfasts are so good..And the staff are great. Very friendly and helpful. Our room was perfect in size and location for us and it was on the ground floor. (I struggle with stairs). The room was lovely and clean in fact the whole place is so well looked after. We really enjoyed our stay. We recommend a visit. We hope to return there in the near future. Thank you to all the staff.

We found the hotel on google at very short notice, having never heard of it before. It is a real gem, from good communication, easy booking & check-in, and friendly welcome, to very comfortable room (with a view of the Teign estuary), great breakfast and motivated, attentive staff.

Went for Sunday lunch, very nice, huge Yorkshire, roasters were very thick skinned, not an awful lot of vegetables, parsnips were very burnt, asked for two soups, only had enough for one person, shame, my partner asked for beer, but had nothing he asked for, so he had to have diet coke with me, we wouldn't go there again for Sunday lunch, would like to spend the night there, and hopefully their breakfast will be nice.
