Was recommended this place from my parents who come here when they're in blackpool so decided to come with my boyfriend. Probably the best Indian restaurant we've been to. We visited on a Saturday so was slightly more as no offers etc but worth it. We were seated straight away and served drinks, starters within 5 minutes. The chicken Tikka was so tender and full of flavour, this is one of the reasons we will be returning just for the chicken 🤣 chicken kormas, rice, chips and keema naan were very tasty, naan full of meat!
Will defo be back 😁

Didn't have high expectations but thought the food was really good. Chicken with spinach and a couple of chapatis. Definitely recommended when you're done with fish and chips in Blackpool. 😀

The most amazing curry ever the service was great couldn’t ask for better took around twenty minutes for main dish which I thought was great as we took the popadoms instead of starter. Great value for money will definitely be back and tell people to go

We've had takeaways for here quite a lot, so wanted to go out for a meal here. The restaurant is dated, but you'd call it retro now. But it was clean, the food was very tasty and the portions were generous. I think it's on the expensive side, but it's the same across the board these days. Will be going again in the near future..

Great food but was ignored when asking for another drink once it got busy with a large group arriving. Saw one group leave for the same reason as they had waited a long time and not been served. I understand they were not expecting that large group in but shouldn’t ignore the other customers.

had a lovely meal , which was well cooked and delivered with great customer service
This is a large restraint with plenty of seatinting around good sized tables, and large bar/service desk
the decor in this restraint is nice especially the chair design and the artwork and decorations on the walls.
Located behind Blackpool North station, and down the main road from Sainsbury's

Went in on my birthday having never been there before and have to say the food was great very tasty, had veggie Rogan Josh with Bombay potatoes and was very nice only issue was bit too hot as I usually have Rogan Josh because of the mildness but was a bit too spicy hot, garlic nan bread I have to say was the best I have ever had, reasonably price and good service, will defo go again.

Popped in on a whim and were very impressed. We were greeted by a very friendly waiter who tended to us courteously and quickly. Myself and my wife had our toddler with us and the staff were very helpful in providing us with a high chair. The food choices are plentiful and typical for an Indian restaurant, there are vegetarian options available and a wide range of wines, spirits and beers. The food was served within a reasonable time, piping hot and delicious. We truly felt like we have stumbled on a hidden gem, in the thousands of food restaurants in Blackpool. Prices reasonable for dine in, but in my opinion value for money without compromising the quality. Next time we visit Blackpool, we will come back again. Highly recommended.

Went to al amir Indian restaurant last night (sat 30th sept) after fancying a curry on the last night of our trip to blackpool, so googled near by Indian restaurants and al Amir came up with the top three searches, after looking at the reviews we settled on going here, it was easy to find and just a few mins walk from the main prom, when we turned up at 9pm and not having booked a table, we walked straight in and was given a table for two straight away, we ordered a pint of cobra and pint of carling which came within minutes, for starters we ordered onion bhaji and chicken rolls, they came out with about 10-12mins, and I eat Indians quite regularly and must say that the onion bhaji is probably the best I've ever Had, nice and crunchy but not greasy! For mains we had lamb jalfrezi and a chicken dupiaza which were very nice and enjoyable, we also had another two pints of cobra which brought the bill to £44, will certainly go back again next time we're in Blackpool so keep up the good work.

We went to this restaurant Thursday night 2/11/17 .It had quite a few people there which looked good.we had to wait a few minutes to be seated by a flustered waiter with a pony tail and there were load of empty dishes on 2 tables . We ordered drinks mine a cider and the wife had a Lassi. My drink came straight away but had to wait another 10 minutes for the Lassi. Meanwhile a table in front of us were asking where their food was as they ordered it over 30 mins ago .There was another table beside me jokingly asking for a box of chocolates because they were waiting so long for the bill .
Our cutlery was thrown down on the table and he took our order and we waited and waited and waited.....
While waiting a family of four came in Sat down the waiter said I'll be with you in a minute after 10 minutes of waiting they walked out meanwhile we are still waiting while some people who came after are getting served.
We got our food almost an hour later and it was really nice.
Spoilt our last night next time it's all you can eat Chinese buffet lol.

I visited this restaurant on 02/11/2017 with my partner whilst on holiday. The customer service we received during our visit was so appalling that I left the restaurant shaking with anger which is a first for me. The waiter (who I believe was also the manager) was extremely rude and unprofessional throughout our entire meal and the waiting time at the beginning and in between courses was ridiculous considering how quiet the restaurant was.
Our cutlery was chucked down on the table rather than being placed. Our plates weren’t cleared at all. Our plates from our starters were only cleared when our mains arrived which was 30 minutes having finished our starter. When we had finished our mains we were left just sitting there for about 20 minutes with no acknowledgement and our plates were again not cleared, despite the waiter (who was not busy at all), glancing over at us seeing that we had evidently finished. We weren’t asked if we would like a pudding (the bill came before we’d even asked for it!) and someone on the next table had to call the waiter over to order themselves a pudding.
This place is an absolute disgrace and ruined the last night of our holiday. It is a shame because the food was extremely tasty and if they drastically improve their standard of customer service the company could do well. Until they do stay well clear of this place!

Me and my partner went in and there was only us in. There was a bit of a smell(drains) but that didn't put us off. We ordered food and wasn't disappointed the food was amazing the only fault was there was too much. Would definitely go again next time we visit Blackpool.

Was with a Group of 6 on Tuesday 14th nov night. Loads of roadworks and town was empty. Food took a while to come out which was reassuring. We all enjoyed the meal. Will go back.
