Awesome for a casual night out with family. No pressure to eat a meal like at a lot of pubs nowadays. Friendly & attentive staff (thanks Simon :)). Nice, friendly, relaxing atmosphere and great decor, making for a cosy night out.
Great Sunday lunch/dinner. We arrived with no reservation. We were welcomed and attended to by the staff brilliantly. We had a great roast dinner and puddings. Very reasonable with drinks. Would recommend The Ely. Well done to all the management and the great staff. We will be back.
What an amazing night! I planned a surprise birthday party for my dad and the staff were brilliant from start to finish. Charlotte, the events coordinator was a star, always answering any questions and making sure I had everything I needed for the party. The staff were so helpful and friendly throug
We have eaten here a couple of times and generally it's good value. However, last night we popped in to the bar for a couple of drinks. The bar was nice and comfy. Good selection of beers and lagers. Why the 5 stars? The lady behind the bar acknowledged everyone attending the bar letting them know s
Nice Chef & Brewer rub a dub dub with restaurant on the A30 in Minley Hampshire. Good menu and food and good selection of beers pleasant staff. Dogs welcome and a "dog station" providing comforts for them is just inside the entrance. Recommended.
My husband and had been out all day and we decided to try and book a table to save us cooking. We were very pleased to be able to book one, as the resturant was busy. Our waiter was very friendly and made us very welcome. The food was delicious and both enjoyed our meals.
Popped in for a meal about 2000 on a Saturday night and was impressed how friendly and attentive the staff were. Food was delicious and good value. The waiter that served us was continually scaning the room to make sure nobody had to wait too long to get his attention. A rare quality nowdays. All i

My family and I had a pleasant meal here. It was however quite frustrating the amount of items that were not available just as dinner service was getting underway. I that supply issues are common place these days but surely these basic ingredients can be sourced locally to offer a complete menu. Ot

Lovely place for a drink with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Outside had plenty of heaters available. Good drink options with higher than average soft drink prices.
Went for lunch Saturday 2nd Sept. Food was excellent, and very reasonably priced. Staff were great, but obviously very busy. Our waiter Simon was first class.
Met old friends/neighbours as we have both moved from that area and this seemed around halfway between our current addresses for a meal and catchup and were made to feel welcome and were subject to excellent service, from attentive friendly staff and received very tasty and well proportioned meals s
Decent place busy because of Ascot. Service OK and food standard Greene King fare. Nothing to complain about and nothing to rave about. You won't be disappointed but won't beat a path back either. Good 'passing by' place
Stayed at The Ely for a couple of nights. Staff in the hotel were friendly, polite and chatty. Rooms where clean, comfy and well maintained. Beds made when we arrived back with fresh towels. (Even my little ones blanket was folded in her travel cot which I thought was very sweet.) Had a meal in the
Had a lovely Sunday lunch here. Main course and a desert each. Restaurant is well presented and staff are very good. Food was all excellent and price was fair. Thoroughly recommended but you will need to drive to get here, but there is plenty of parking. They do allow dogs in some areas, but I'd adv
We regularly have breakfast at The Ely. Of all the places we've tried in the area, their breakfast is far and away the best. Beautifully cooked, well presented, good quality ingredients, accompanied by great coffee and tea and lovely peaceful and cosy surroundings.
