The Chip Shop is in a ideal stop off point between Falkirk and Inverness. Good quality fish/ pie and chips in a box, not to expensive. Plenty of seating out side and free parking.
Loved the haddock and chips with brown sauce. Ice cream, snacks and drinks available.
Excellent chippy away from the hubbub of the main restaurant where we had a really good fish and chips along with a pork and chorizo pie
Funnily enough the best fish n chips ever yet the furthest from the coast. Cannot fault quality, portion size or value for money. Highly recommend. Make sure you get there before 5.30 if you need the loo though as only toilet is in the main shop which shuts then.
Very good quality fish supper and very attentive staff. Didn't seem to be other dishes than fish and lobster on offer but then it is a fish and chip shop... My only complaint would be not enough salt and vinegar but then I am old school! Lots of parking and plenty tables to sit at outside, though w
We had 2 pies and chips and just chips, but wow, the freshest and crispness of the chips was simply amazing. The pies were so tasty I could have eaten more. Great value for money, and the service was brilliant and made a fuss because it was my kids' birthday.
WOW! One of the best pieces of battered haddock that it has been my pleasure to stick in my face. The BATTER....almost tempura like it was so thin and crispy. The FISH.....whiter than white, almost translucent with freshness. So moist and perfectly cooked that the flaky segments just fell apart. The
Lovely place to sit down and relax after a long journey. Staff are very friendly and the food is tasty. Would highly recommend this place
The House of Bruar Fish and Chip Shop offers a unique takeout option, with a lobster tank where you can pick your own meal. Although the bound claws may appear unsportsmanlike, the quality of the food is outstanding. Prices are high, but even a simple order of chips is elevated and unmatched. If yo
The food is great and prices reasonable. I also have to say the staff went above and beyond this evening to provide for our son, who has very specific food preferences. If you ever read this thank you, and he scoffed the haddock :)
Was travelling north on A9 and came across this wee gem, amazing fish and chips. Freshly cooked and lightest of batters, can not recommend enough and for being just off main road very reasonable, well worth the calories 😀
Not a cheap fish n chip shop...but my goodness... probably the tastiest cod and chips I have ever had from a "chip shop" style restaurant... if you are passing, you really should stop in and try for yourself.
Had fish and chips. Fish was 10/10 - absolutely delicious. Cooked to order with fresh flaky fish and crisp light batter. Chips were 4/10. Soggy and a bit disappointing. Service good. Nice range of options.
Stopped in to grab a steak pie. Weather so nice we grabbed an ice cream - kind gentlemen serving the ice cream stayed open specially for us, hat tip to them! Steak pie was awesome as was were the pre-dinner ice creams!
Last visited in December For Gluten Free Fish & Chips, was a lovely treat after a long drive. Called in again in January but was closed for refurbishment by the looks of it. Hopefully it will be open again soon. Great stop for a mooch around the lovely shops then gluten free Fish & Chips.
Loved the fish and chips . They had do many options like chips and bun , pie and sides too. They got ice creams as well. They were awesome . So many flavours , like vanilla , strawberry , mint choclate , chocolate , honey comb and caramel as well.😋❤❤ ... it is a must to try the honey comb one . S
Best chips around for sure, potatoes are quality, fried but soft inside. Friendly guys serving. I had Scottish beef pie and chips. Pie was okay. Fish and chips also looked really good.
