We were looking to go somewhere for lunch last week and we were very happy to have found this little gem. The interior is good, the staff really polite,friendly and made us feel relaxed and looked after! And the food - what can I say - haven't had such a good meal for a long time! Amazing! Highly recommend to visit 👌
Excellent set up outside. Rigorous covid procedures; sanitiser, wipes and tissues on every table.You can still see the staff's big smiles under the facemasks!
The crab salad starter was light and refreshing. The beer battered haddock and chip outstanding, the fish was incredibly soft. A tempting selection of cakes were on offer too. Cargill's Sunday roasts are not worth missing also.

Amazing food, atmosphere and lovely staff. I cant recommend Cargills enough! It's amazing. I would add that if you are curvy then the chairs inside might be a little uncomfortable (see pic) but there is seats outside and in the gazebo which don't have restricting arm rests.
We had such a fabulous meal here, while visiting family. Thomas and the Team were exceptional, the food was out of this world and the attentiveness of the staff, outstanding!! Thank You…so much, we will be back, very soon 😊

Interior was very welcoming, staff were friendly and helpful, had a 'hidden gem' feel. Warmly lit but not too bright.
The warmed wood pigeon starter (with poached pears and candied hazelnuts) was one of the best starters we've ever had, like something out of MasterChef!

After a day at the races and to avoid the traffic jam back into the city, we headed in the opposite direction to Blairgowrie...and we're glad we did. We're also glad we gave Cargill's a go...superb food, I could go on all night about our meal but I won't...just try for yourself. We'll be back next time we're in Perth.
Had a lovely post lockdown lunch with best friend here yesterday. We had a nice table outside so we could enjoy the sunshine as well as the food. Food choices were good, everything arrived freshly made and both dishes were delicious and thoroughly enjoyed by both of us. The service was excellent and all staff were friendly. I would certainly visit again, felt very safe here. Thank you
Excellent food, brilliant service and great atmosphere. We had dinner and went back following morning for breakfast! No kids menu but they adapted main menu and my girls loved it. Also very dog friendly. We will definitely be back.
We enjoyed a very long lunch here yesterday. The menu was great but the service was the highlight. Nothing was too much trouble. Food was delicious and didn't feel rushed to give up our table. Thank you for a lovely lunch. We will return and will recommend everyone to visit

Spontaneous visit, we had actually parked to visit the Subway nearby.
As we passed the restaurant, it looked inviting, so decided to stop in.
The staff were all lovely and very welcoming. The environment kept spotless including the toilets.
The food was exemplary. My steak cooked to perfection. One of those meals that you eat slowly and savour.
My daughter had the fish and concurred completely with my consensus.
This is one restaurant that I will most certainly return visit.
Excellent beer garden (didn't get inside due to the restrictions) and service. Food menu is good, with recipes that you don't find so regularly (e.g., whole sea bream with spicy red sauce, nice venison casserole) - execution/cooking could be perfected further. Desserts also could be improved (can taste the butter in the pudding) to be made more tasteful - selection is again good and uncommon.
My wife and I and two friends dined here twice while on a walking weekend. Excellent both times. As the only veggie in the group I had the veggie haggis clapshot one night and the veg curry on the other. Sticky toffee pudding (really good) on both nights. Partner and friends all enjoyed their food. Good atmosphere, great staff and service. Bit of a misunderstanding on our second booking but sorted without drama. They are clearly working hard to make the bistro a success and deserve all the good reviews they are getting. Head and shoulders above the competition. Definitely recommend and would go back.
Really lovely meal. Did take a wee bit of time to get to the table. But freshly cooked and delicious. No complaint from me there. Very reasonable price. Staff all very friendly and a nice atmosphere. Definitely be going again.
Took the family while on a break. Food was superb with a great level of service, not overwhelmed but looked after. Anyone who visits around Blairgowrie and hasn't been, trust me get it on the bucket list.
