This is a valuable asset in the village of Stourpaine. It is a great pub and also has a small shop attached.
I have eaten here on many occasions. The menu is really good and caters for mist tastes. There are good vegan and vegetarian dishes.

Highly reccomend!! As a group of 8 ( including 4 children) and 3 dogs we arrived unannounced from the nearby campsite. We were welcomed and accommodated despite the restaurant bookings being busy. What a cozy place! It has the atmosphere of a traditional old pub but it also serves really good food. All of the staff were very friendly. Be aware that every Sunday around 7pm there's a local brass band playing so it can get crowded.
Popped in on a Tuesday lunchtime thinking it would be quiet. It wasn't, for a very good reason. Good food, nice atmosphere, nice staff but best of all, they are (very) dog friendly.
Monday night is Chip Van night - The Pilgrim Fryer whose F&C are of legendary world class quality. Plus the pub was cosy, friendly, and made us very welcome to eat inside while we sampled 4 excellent real Ales.
Called in at white horse on the off-chance of a table for two. Hubby thoroughly enjoyed his honey and mint lamb and veg and I loved the chilli. Great service, great food, great atmosphere and great beer! Would thoroughly recommend a visit.
Had a lovely lunch at this pub. The staff could not have been more friendly. We were very well taken care of and they even brought out biscuits and water for our doggies. Highly recommend and would come again!
