Had my baby’s 1st birthday party here yesterday..... the food was out of this world and the staff were so helpful, they couldn’t do anymore. I can not recommend this place any more, fantastic and so so so much food for the money!!!!! Thank you for making our day perfect

Fab food, atmosphere and very welcoming, they can't do enough for you. Love it that food is served until 5 on Sunday, plus not just Sunday lunch menu too. They welcome dogs so that is always a bonus as we regularly walk from Carlton - just the right distance!

Nipped into Blyth off the A1 looking for somewhere for dinner, never been there before so had no idea what was there, saw 2-3 pubs but decided on the Red Hart because they had a board outside telling you what time they were serving from and too, and it also looked inviting, certainly weren’t disappointed, very friendly staff, real ale and a wonderful Sunday lunch, beef for me and pork for the wife, both cooked to perfection, would definitely call again at this little gem

Have returned to this pub after moving away. Have not been disappointed , 7 of us for Mother’s Day lunch. All ordered different but got to say the quality and service was just as good as I remember, not one disappointed person. Really enjoyed it thanks, be back soon

I could only have the one pint of real ale as I was driving. It was very good indeed. The food was fantastic and very good value. The staff and servers were also very good. I did have to go back and ask them to ADD some items to our bill. :)

Lovely pub in the centre of the village. We had chicken and mushroom pie with mash and mushy peas and an all day breakfast. Served lovely and hot - can't fault it! Well be back 🙂

we arrived 1:30pn on saturday for late lunch. the place was almost empty. we orderd small fish and chips, burger, steak pie and mixed grill. the meals were tasty. fishes were fresh and the burger was juicy. there was plenty meat in steak pie. the mixed grill was good. one small thing that needed to be improved, was the chips that needed to be crispy.

Called in for lunch as we store caravan nearby. Tempura prawn starter was cooked to perfection with batter exactly how it should be for tempura, so I don't care whether they came out of a bag or freshly prepared, they were perfect and nicely presented. Lots of tempting gastro type food on the Specials board but we went for the safe option of beer battered fish and chips. I liked the fact that we could choose between small or large fish, as we are not big eaters so the small was just right. Again, lovely batter on the fish and chips were as they should be. Prices were reasonable by todays' standards. We got there before it became busy, so service was faultless. We were asked by the Waitress and Chef if everything was alright, which is a sign they are confident about the quality of their food. I couldn't find any fault with the food or service, so will definitely be back - maybe Sunday lunch next time, which was recommended by some locals we spoke to.

Popped in as a drive by as the weather was glorious. We had the Steak and Onion Baguette and the Olive Fetta and Sun-dried Tomato Baguette. Both came with home made chips, coleslaw and salad and were beautiful. Very reasonably priced and great real ale too. Worth the drive out and we'll be back

We called in on the way back from an appointment for our tea. The food was cooked from fresh so had to wait a little longer but it was well worth the wait. Lovely food and friendly staff, will definitely go back.

We had a delicious meal that was excellently cooked with generous portions. I had a side of onion rings that were amazing. There were so many of them I couldn't finish them despite assistance in eating them.... wish I could have. All of this washed down with a well kept drink of real ale. Highly recommended.

Visited on Saturday 14 October 2017 evening and was really impressed by the quality of the real ale on offer and the food. The food was really nice tasting with fresh vegetables and well prepared duck breast for my wife and Cod for myself. We decided to follow up with a pudding which came in huge portions again with fresh tasting pie and crumble. Staff really friendly and you felt really at home here!

Food was very good, and value for money. Friendly pleasant service. Interior a little dated but not necessarily a bad thing. Quiet surroundings allowing conversation. Not your normal plastic pub so no complaints from me.
