We visited yesterday from a family meal. It was amazing, the food was beautiful and the service second to none, even down to the smallest. I can't wait for another excuse to return!

Hadn't booked and was very busy,Friday evening. Waited for a table in the lounge area, which is really nicely done. Great service and excellent food. Staff were attentive and friendly. Going try the Buffet Night and take friends. Thank you,really enjoyed our meal.
We ordered 2 Thursday night specials. The curry's were perfect, everything else was spot on. Excellent portion sizes too. 100% score from us, 100% recommended by me 🙂
It's upstairs above The Post Office pub. Not a bad meal, very smart waiting area. Dining area clean and tidy... was quite noisy due to there being a party group.. but that's not the restaurants fault.

Party of 10 at a peak time, was excellent. Everything came on time and excellent quality as well. Ordered throughout the meal extra dishes while everyone was eating 10 out of 10 service drinks were ordered throughout no long waits. No better Indian in the north east.
Brilliant place love the food, beautiful ... and the room out the back where you can lounge for a pre meal or after meal drink.

We had dinner here last night. The place is easy to find, just off the quayside and the decor inside was lovely. The menu offered a good selection of dishes without being overwhelming. Service was pleasant and efficient.
The food was very presented and tasty and a good portion size, we certainly didn't leave hungry! Good value too, an excellent choice.
So, 11 blokes pitch up with no booking and the guys and girls at Asmara bent over backwards to accommodate us this evening. Atmosphere was great, food was excellent and the service was first class. We were genuinely so surprised at how low the final bill was that we asked for it to be checked. Thanks to Faz (I Think) and all the rest of the staff. You really have a team and restaurant you can be proud of. Cheers.

Can't recommend this highly enough. The meal was beautiful, the staff were lovely and welcoming, and it was so reasonably priced. We are only visiting a few days, but when we come back, we will go there again.

Food aways delicious, staff always pleasant and helpful. One problem. I had read reviews of the staff not getting the tips (so I asked).
Tips do not go to the staff. I find this very disappointing. If I get good service, I like to leave a tip to show my appreciation, likewise if the service is poor, no tip.
I like leaving tips for the staff, good service should be rewarded. It promotes good service. Come on Asmara Indian Cuisine, if I reward a waiter/waitress let them keep the tip.
I will ask every time I visit.
