Had an afternoon tea for 14 people delivered to my house today for a baby shower. Food was delicious and everything was brought to us which allowed us to have the most amazing afternoon tea. Highly recommend. Thank you so much.

Really lovely cheap and cheerful cafe with helpful staff and quick service. We stopped in quickly for some breakfast baps driving through Cornwall. Coffee was lovely and I was especially impressed by the spread of scones, cakes and brownies. Also handy as it was dog friendly.
Random trip through Bodmin and an absolute gem of a place! We try to avoid the bigger chains as they are everywhere and glad we did. It’s tucked away in a very tiny shopping mall and definitely worth the visit. The staff are lovely, the place spotless and my husband is still talking about the cheese scones 2 days later! Don’t understand the pants reviews and think those people need to get out more or obviously serial complainers. This will be our first stop on our next trip.
This coffee shop is located at really interesting place called Market House Arcade. They have wide selection of food and drinks with vegetarian/vegan options. Cherry scones are lovely and scrumptious. Prices are reasonable, staff is very polite and helpful. In my opinion it's the best coffee shop in Bodmin. Highly recommend.
The staff are very helpful, obliging and friendly. There is a good choice of foods to order - spoilt for choice. A good atmosphere and clean environment. Price of food is quite reasonable - considering the rising costs everywhere. Customers can either telephone an order for a roast meal on one day each week to be delivered to their homes, or simply book a table for the roast. The roast is huge.
Typical cafe pretty basic but fantastic service. Had the bigger breakfast £9.80 thought that a bit steep but was delicious and hot. Cakes and pastries looked tasty but the breakfast was so filling. Excellent service and friendly staff will definitely go again on my next ride out to bodmin.

We had an afternoon tea package for 2 people which was enough food for 4 delivered to our home address in Bodmin. The food was absolutely delicious everything was fresh and first class I cannot fault it in any way. Delicious coffee and dog friendly. One really excellent waitress, but sadly a very unenthusiastic boy brought down the level of service. He was good on the till but clearly not interested in table service.
The interior was very nice, full of warm lighting and cosy wood. But could do with air conditioning or windows opened as it was too hot. Overall, while there are currently niggles that need addressing, I would still go back.
Stopped on the way-through travelling home from a week in Perranporth for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised!
Staff were so friendly and accommodating and I was so impressed with every single one of our six meals being exactly as asked for (I think only one of us ordered straight from the menu so it was a big task!). Really reasonable pricing although the quality of the food itself was reflected in the price a little but I would expect as much.
My wife and I visit Waffles once a week, it’s our lunch date since we work at home together since Covid. The staff in Waffles are so friendly and engaging. The food is always fantastic and they have a good selection of cakes to take away which I have been working my way through. I would recommend Waffles to anyone and we took family there who were down for Christmas and they are fans too.
Always had good food and good service at a reasonable price from this much loved local business. Very surprised to read Ann Taylor's review and sorry for her poorly tummy! if I were her, I would visit a Doctor immediately as most people can tell just by taste if milk is gone off in Coffee! I hope she doesn't have Covid! I am sure the business checks the best before dates on all of it's products as well as the temperature of their fridge!
We stopped in here for lunch during a gentle wander around Bodmin. It was quiet, and the staff were friendly. Food was reasonably priced, and the coffee was good.
We ordered a cheese and bacon scone and a cheese scone, a sausage roll and two Cornish pasties with one side of chips. All were good, but if I'm honest, the pasties weren't the best I've ever had - the pastry was quite thick and it needed a bit more seasoning. However, it was well presented with a nice salad garnish. The scones were excellent, and all in all it was just over £20 with a couple of coffees and a cold can of fizzy, so very reasonable for a lunch for 4. If we were back in Bodmin, I'd return, but would avoid the pasty - there were bakers in the high street selling them to take away, so that would be my first choice.
Really tasty food, lovely service, the people were really friendly and helpful. Plenty of gluten free options as well as vegan options. Reasonably priced. Dogs allowed. Would definitely return
The below review from Ann Taylor is everything that’s wrong with reviews these days. 1 star from speculation - there is no evidence her bad tummy came from a coffee! Waffles is a staple in the town of Bodmin and has been for many, many years. Reviews like this can cause serious damage to a small business, in an already difficult climate and is so unnecessary. Waffles is great - good food, lovely staff, really good prices - with excellent coffee!
Great cafe. Shared a sandwich (glad we did as the portion was huge) followed by a cream tea. Cakes looked amazing. Recommend visiting if you want good food.
On holiday in Bodmin we came across a lovely coffee shop tucked away from the main road which allows well behaved dogs in .
The plan was just to have a coffee but we ended up having a lovely meal .
The staff were lovely and helpful they had good knowledge of their products and my wife has to have a gluten free diet and the staff and owner went out of their way to help. we were so impressed that we will be visiting again in the near future.
A hidden gem! We stumbled onto this restaurant and saw the scones and knew we had to grab a bit to eat. The size of the hot chocolate was insane and really tasty. The breakfast was great and the scones were huge and scrumptious. The waitresses were friendly and welcoming! Thanks for the great meal

I literally cannot believe Ann’s comment below. We have used waffles for many years for suppling our business, birthday cakes, Mother’s Day cream tea experience, amazing homemade soup, popping in for coffee and naughty treats, scrummy pasties, oh and for the best cheese scones in Cornwall. She is def talking absolute rubbish and it’s so unfair on a business who has struggled through the pandemic to talk such pap. Never ever in all these years have we been ill from any of their food and drink so I see this review as just plain trolling. I highly recommend waffles coffee shop as an amazing place to eat. Well done waffles staff for your hard work and resilience through the covid restrictions and Ann In a world where we can be anything please remember to be kind !!
They are always kind and friendly, welcoming and helpful, they are great with disabled children and adults and always welcome well-behaved dogs 😁 they provide great service and food. They also home deliver and do a very delicious roast 😋
