Ordered 17/08/2023 via Uber eats. Food was great, the butter chicken looked quite light on chicken but it was all hidden in one side / part of the bowl. The mango Falooda was large size but is what you would class as medium drinks cup so tasty but not good value.

I visited the Bolton drive thru for a Karak Coffee which had run out but Sam the worker was excellent she displayed the best customer service and is and should be used as an example for others. She took time out and helped me decide what drink to have and was absolutely lovely - honestly I will be going again and recommending the place due to the way Sam was thank you 😊

Went first time to Bolton chaiiwala. Ambience is good and staff helpful. Food is tasty, small portion for the cost.

Go here during lunch times, never had an issue yet, food is always lovely, i mainly stick to two items as you can see in the pictures. I want to try more of the menu in the near future. I just wished they open at 8am for breakfast i would go everyday as there isnt much choice in bolton for good light breakfast. Keep up the good work, the young lad who used to work there all the time was a very friendly man, i wonder what happened to him :o

Decent food in a clean place. Overall very good ambiance. The staff and also very friendly and they accept card payments which is a bonus.
The portion sizes are small and so is a bit dear for what you get, but tastes very good.
We ordered the desi breakfast with chana and paratha, chana were very nice with the paratha. We also ordered the masala chips, which were not for me, they seemed like they had been cooked in ketchup, but they did not taste bad, just not to my taste. The pav bhaji was very tasty, not too spicy or chilly, just right.
We ordered a karak chai which was quite nice, but the pink chai was amazing
Overall a decent breakfast.

The best chai I’ve tasted so far! Nice little franchise. The kebab roll (chicken) are yummy, get it! The falooda is decent, but a little too much cream, I’d prefer more falooda to be honest lol.
Polite and nice staff. Imili (tamarind) chips are nice, but make sure to eat whilst a hot as when they get cold, they became stale fast. The Bombay sandwich was delicious!
Definitely recommend a visit! The Karak chai is amazing! Please check out my other Chaiiwala review for a more detailed #foodie review

Came from leeds to sort my car out was recommended a garage in bolton. So drove up from leeds with my brother. Went to the garage they said it can take upto 5hours to have my car ready. But they had no waiting area as its a small garage. Not knowing bolton area. We just walked down the road and spotted chaii wala we walked in. All I wanna say is they were so understanding we explained to them we was from leeds and got nowhere to go as our car is in the garage could we wait in here. They said we can wait in there till my car is ready. Thank you guys. Really appreciate it. Food was lovely and fresh.. I swear can't thank you guys enough 🙏

Regular spot throughout the year for a reliable, consistent karak chai. Not messed around with the rest of the menu. As they say, 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it'. Their Nutella/Lotus paratha's are tasty, albeit overpriced for what they are.

Great food & chai, I recommend the full breakfast, good priced snacking cafe. Nice decor & clean, but the layout can improve a little to make the place feel more warm & welcoming. Busy place, first time I went there was an hour wait, the second time only 5 mins. I like the small concise menu however, they didn't seem to have everything on the menu.

I came in last night just before closing time, I was sat down enjoying my drink and I witnessed some confrontation between the staff members and some really rude customers and I have to say the staff handle it really well. The attitude that came off the customers was utterly disrespectful and absolutely appalling! The two women was trying their hardest for free drinks, resulting in the young worker being left in tears. Hats off to the staff for handling it so well and professional as possible and following rules and regulations, even though they were getting absolutely bombarded with abuse and stress.
Good on the staff for standing their ground and not giving in to their demands, after the women were still refusing to listen to what the staff had to say.
I highly recommend this branch especially for the service and of course the chai😊

A nice place to have a desi tea and a catch up. Reasonably priced but with limited options. Would have preferred if they did more barista style coffees but I understand that isn’t part of the concept. Good place.

Great place to have a quick bite nice concept trying to create good old Indian street food.the tea would be better served in glasses to get the Indian street feel overall nice

Very disappointed
The food didn't meet my expectations. We were really looking forward to it. The portions were very small. The bombay sandwich was a cold toastie with only potato and ketchup. The masala chips were plain chips covered in sauce! The desi breakfast had masala omelette that had no flavour. The Limbu pani lacked flavour it just tasted like lemon squash with ice. I think to receive positive reviews you need to consider a new chef because your menu is misleading. Everything you offer on the menu makes the customer think that they are going to receive a meal full of flavour and that's what Indian food is about. Unfortunately that's not what you offer! Very bland food!

Great place, with pleasant staff and decorative surroundings. The food definitely needs spicing up. The samosas are crunchy and you get plentiful, but very bland. The masala chips are soggy and less spicy that Nando’s peri fries, the Mogo isn’t crispy and tasteless as well as chilli paneer.
The place is a brilliant concept, but the food stops me revisiting. Bolton needs more Indian Street Food type venues for quick snack bites, but they need to be tasty.

Loved the decor in this place and the gajar halwa was one of the nicest I’ve had, would recommend this place 😊

Good food, good service and a cosy clean place.Definitely needs more on the menu as their isn't much choice. The bombay sandwich needs to taste more like a "bombay sandwich" instead of having potatoes and tomato sauce filled inside...otherwise good place for a quick bite x

Excellent service awesome staff very helpful if not sure with the menu, tea taste just like Liecster place. Nice deco, relaxing atmosphere, Can’t go wrong deffo pop in again and will recommend to work mates family’s.

Was so excited all morning to try the menu. Although the food was nice I was a little bit disappointed. I had the Desi Breakfast and thought that the masala omelette would have had some spicy taste not plain and the daal needed a bit more kick. Not a fan on the tea

I absolutely love desi tea and Chaiiwala definitely satisfied my cravings! I will definately come here for my desi tea fix! We got the masala chips which were yummy and moreish. However, my absolutely favourite treat was the Chocolate Chai Mousse. I can’t wait to have that again.
The place is clean and very reasonably priced. Lovely customer service too. I was really impressed.

I've been to this Chaiiwala a couple of times now and I love it. I originally visited one of the ones in Leicester and the food is great at both, but the Leicester place I went to is tiny. The one in Bolton is such a nice space to just chill out. I've tried a lot of the menu now...the mogo chips and chilli paneer are two of my faves. I also had the chocolate chaii mousse this last time which is delish but you've gotta have a sweet tooth! And of course the original chai

The food was tasty but honestly guys your shop is called ‘chaiiwala’ at least make fresh tea for your customers- mine tasted like it was out of a thermos! Your food is nice but could do better on flavour and not smothered in ketchup!

Loved the food and especially the tea, staff were really friendly too, definitely recommend it

A lovely place with polite cheerful staff and clean. However food definitely needs spicing up. Everyone has different tastes however with it being an indian cafe i did expect spice and authentic tastes. Chai was spot on! Luvly and the right amount. Masala chips were drained in sauce and soggy. Samosas were crisp but filling needs to be spiced up. The place has got a lot of potential and it's mainy for the owners to read the comments and improve on basic elements of food as def need something like this in Bolton. Food was fresh but just needs a little tweaking.
