Fabulous service, Katie had garlic mash made for her by the chef on duty Thursday 21st December at around 12.30. Being heavily pregnant so was looking forward to this delight only to be told they dont usually serve it (is available aT the Toll Bar just off the M61,junction 4) here but the waitress kindly offered to ask chef if he could make some for her which he did. Thank you. Service by all staff was wonderful, will be back with baby in the new year, a happy and joyous Christmas to all the staff. Pauline and Katie

A huge shout out to the Toby Carvery! This morning we received the disastrous news that the venue for my nephew's christening was completely snowed under and won't be opening! All the family were ringing round frantically to see if any venues could cater at such short notice. We almost gave up, but the Toby Carvery came to the rescue! With just a couple hours notice, they not only whipped up a delicious spread, decorated the venue, they also went out and bought us a personalised christening cake from Asda with George's name on!! (ours was snowed in at the other venue!) It's a lovely venue, the food was delicious and the staff were super friendly and accommodating! Thank you for making our little George's christening such a special day!! Xxx

Gorgeous Building, Good Food, Mixed Service. 10/10 building, you can certainly see why they offer wedding packages. We were sat in the spacious back room. Loved looking around. 7/10 food. Its a Toby carvery at the end of the day. Small cuts of enormous joints of meat that have been under a heat lamp for 45 minutes. The veg is great and unlimited. 6/10 service. We could tell immediately that not all the staff get on. The more experienced staff spent their time checking where the younger inexperienced staff were. Had to ask for the bill 4 times to 3 different staff, as did the table next to us.

We had our wedding reception in the events room, top floor, at the Watermillock Toby carvery. Fantastic service, friendly and welcoming staff. They couldn't do enough to help and did an amazing job. The food was fantastic! Cannot thank Sam and his excellent team enough. They made our special day spectacular - everything was flawless. Would recommend the venue and the team to anyone.

Had a really great experience on Saturday afternoon when I came with my grandma and mum! Had a lovely carver, Connor, who was charming and very welcoming. Hannah, our waitress was very attentive, polite, and friendly. The apple and plum crumble is on another level of yummy! Overall, with excellent food and lovely staff it made for a lovely Saturday afternoon out!

I drive past here all the time but never had a chance to drop in. Luckily this week we had time on our hands and hungry bellies so thought 'let's go in' after all who doesn't like a Toby carvery! The building is amazing! Grand and impressive. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The service was quick and efficient and the food was fantastic. We will definitely be making the effort to pass by and fill up again very soon.

Food was good but nothing special for a carvery. The waitress was very friendly and on the ball with cleaning up plates, asking for desert orders and the bill. Very efficient. The atmosphere was weird, it is a nice looking old estate house. All the rooms were used as seating areas, so there were not many tables in each room. The other 2 tables in the room were eating in silence too, this meant the atmosphere did not feel like a restaurant and when we stopped talking it was weirdly silent. Which is not really a bad point as some people might enjoy it, but I do prefer some background noise so I don't feel like I'm disturbing people by talking. Something I did not like was the state of the carvery area. There were roast potatoes all around the meat, and a lot of the veg splatted around each of the dishes. It just looked like it hadn't been cleaned all day. I also stood for 8mins waiting for the carvery chef to come out and cut the meat. Took the waitress two times shouting that carvery chef is needed before someone came. The chef was polite and friendly though. Overall I did enjoy my experience though.

We opted to go for the XL carvery, which included sausages, but the carver said they were still waiting for them to cook. We were told someone would bring them over for us, but they never arrived. Other than that, the food was nice. We didn't receive a discount given the above. But it was a hot day, so I was just glad not to have to cook at home

Lovely restaurant, all the staff are very polite and pleasant and have always given a great service. The choice of vegetables is excellent, the meats are lovely and the different potato options give choice for everyone. The venue is clean and tidy. A great service, thankyou from us all

The food was amazing and thr staff were very helpful and friendly. Portions were very good even on standard. Was a shame we had to queue for 20 minutes for the food.b maybe two stations or more chefs would help. The food was worth the wait. Our son said it was the best he's ever had and tried everything that he would normally pull a face at. Really enjoyable family meal. Thanks

We recently purchased 30 take out lunches for our teams to celebrate Yorkshire Day. I rang and pre- ordered nothing seemed to be too much trouble. We sent a list of what everyone wanted arranging to collect on the day. When we arrived everything was ready and waiting for us. The staff could not have been more helpful, they packed and loaded the car with us. The food was labelled and well presented. The teams thorough enjoyed it with no complaints at all. Highly recommended. Thanks to Becky and the team for a memorable Yorkshire Day Lunch.

We was greeted with a friendly member of staff and shown to our table,we were eating a carvery although I wasnt overly happy with the beef that I was given which was 1 thick slice and all fat but apart from that everyone was nice.
